What are SMART sockets?

What are SMART sockets?

I presume sockets that turn off at the same time as the master socket.
#6
If your PC is plugged into the master socket and you turn it off, it will also switch off the devices in the smart sockets e.g. printer, monitor etc.
Also same principle for your telly, could turn off PS3, Wii, dvd player etc.

I probably didn't word that great. The same time as the DEVICE that is plugged in to the master socket gets switched off.

eco,smart, gimmick = cold

does this sense when a device is turned off via the remote or does it need switched off still by the switch on the powerdrome

None at Asda Wolstanton, Stoke. :x

"*Can be fitted under desks"

I'd be amazed if you could find a trailing socket anywhere that was too tall to fit under a desk :)
#13
Just picked one of these up, thought it would be ideal for the PC. Had it plugged in but it keeps switching the slave sockets on and off every few secs when the pc is switched off, there is no way to adjust the sensitivity of the "master" socket so this will be going back!

Cold from me...would only pay £10 if this had Serge Protection!

True, but I'm looking for "Serge Protection"....anyone that was on this thread early will know what I'm on about. I think the mods lost their sense of humour and removed a load of posts!
