Guys please dont buy this and use it on mains electric. Yes its capable of measuring upto 500v but i wouldnt trust my life with it (especially considering the difference between cat II and cat IV cables). The wires are scarily thin on cat II cables and i would only use it for ELV (extra low voltage systems) I.E <50v AC or <120v DC.

Its fine for electronics projects or automotive circuits but its not worth the risk on mains IMO

Seconded, have personal experience of this, throbbing hand and loud expletives all round!
