Did you see them in Small Edisons/Small bayonets and maybe in slightly lower wattage ranges?

Most British Gas (electricity) customers should receive a card to offering two free bulbs. I got mine recently!

You can also get free Philips energy bulbs from Powergen if you are on certain benefits, even family tax credit, child tax credit etc. I got some last week

You can get them at Netto where they are just 47p or 49p each depending on wattage. ;-)

Still, everyoneyou ought to get some - it's apparently Tony's 'radical' plan to save the world :giggle:

I'm just left wondering what ecological footprint is being left by disposing of all the normal incandescent light bulbs and replacing them with these energy saving lightbulbs?

None at my local Morrisons :-(

None at my nearest branch either. The sales guy looked at me as if i was talking chinese when i mentioned the offer which i thought was very odd considering how long the offer's been running!. Is it larger stores only?

How long did they take to arrive after you sent off for them?

They may be energy saving but they do contain mercury... I think of them as lesser of two evils!
#14
Loads of them in the Bracknell store when I checked yesterday..

I bought these a while back & ended up replacing all my previous GE low energy bulbs. The Phillips ones light up quickly compared to most low energy bulbs & provide a good quality light. Also Morrison have sold other Phillips low energy styles (candle & round type) but don't know if they are on offer.

Generally, CFL's get slower as they get older. It's important to make sure you have a good one that lights quickly on the stairs etc!

AFAIK, Morrisons have had this offer for many months so it seems it's a long term thing.

My local had nothing on the normal stand, no marketing, no Buy one, get one free...didn't even have any 99p price tickets & then a couple of aisles along they had a big e-on cardboard 'display' box with a poster above & stacks of bulbs. They had 60 watt equivalent in both bayonet & screw...(they had 100 watt eq advertised but couldn't find any).
Heated when first posted...repped now I've got some!

There were lots in my local store but the price was £3.99 for one and no offer.:w00t:

I work in morrisons in both a large and a small store and they have them in both. They come in in a display stand and are not put on the shelves.
