Does this have a card reader on it?
Thanx Sagor jus ordered one, wanted better but the price is right :) heated
DSG typically rebadges twinhead laptops for their philips range, yet I can find no model similar to this one. Does anyone actually have one that can give some serial info?
very nice deal
Heck of a deal - normally £450 at PCWorld.
Good price. Heat added.
Sold out.
Damn, they went quick! Im wanting a sub £300 laptop but dont want to buy anything until I read peoples comments on how good/bad they are! Looks like I missed the boat with this one!
Never seen and used any Philips laptop! Anyone has any experience?
Publicity stunt ... ?..

The spec are good for this price. Shame about the celeron though, but for this price can't fault it.

EDIT: It's a refurbished unit .. no wonder. I.E. 2nd hand. No thanks!
Why do all these cheap **** laptops have Apple's OS X wallpaper. Theres something wrong with that.

haha me too, and the more this happens the greater the urge to buy the next 'bargain'. I wonder if the companies are aware of sites like this because looking at other refurbs in some cases prices appear to be higher for lesser spec'd machines :?

Ah well keep checking I am sure there will be plenty more where this came from...
I Have the next model up the 5800

its the best laptop ive ever used, fast, no problems at all, and the size means its ultra portable and well what can i say, im over the moon with mine
Ordered one last night for my G/f. Bargain :)
now back in stock
Ours was delivered today, very impressed.

The screen is very nice, build quality is excellent, and looks like the battery will last 3-4 hours on 1 charge.

I was surprised with its performance, for under £300 its wicked.

We are well pleased. :-D
looks like currys/dixons are sold out,

but pc world says it still has some.

It says in stock for home delivery, but we entered our postcode after adding

this to basket and says temporarily unavailable.
I purchased one of these a couple of days aga (were back in stock with Currys) and received delivery today. However they have sent the wrong cable and there were no discs or documentation included. Can anyone tell me if this is the norm. with these refurbished models please? Have tried to speak to Currys but basically got no help as they said they would have to check with head office and let me know!!
