I have this and bought it in December from Novatech. Superb piece of kit to run my PS3 and PC through. Awesome price also
#4
Actually just noticed that this doesn't have the three year return to base warranty mine does.

As far as I know if you buy it from Novatech you get a 2 year on-site warranty now.

I want 1920x1200!

Why?????? Ok you get a slightly better resolution for games, but if you watch movies you will get black lines either side. Also with 1080p it's easier to clone your displays if you run a multi display setup i.e. a 1080p monitor and a 1080p TV.

Just what i was looking for, can this be used as a TV too?

I will never buy electrical things from Play again - their customer service is dreadful if you need to return something. I have never used Novatech - are they reliable?

I've used them several times in the last few years, always good. I bought a Samung home theatre setup from them last year which was faulty, which they replaced promptly and without issue.

My issue with them is that they haven't replaced faulty electrical goods. You have to send it back to them then they keep them for weeks to repair (which they are entitled to do), whereas Amazon just send you a replacement. Other issue is that you have to pay to return it and getting the postage refunded is difficult. Money Saving Expert has a few large threads with accounts of similar problems.

I just won't risk large electrical items from Play anymore. Dvd, cds, I will buy. Not anything that costs to send back. I would rather buy from reliable stockists and pay a bit more and avoid the hassle.

Keep seeing a lot of monitor deals lately. I guess the reason is that monitors that have HDMI input are coming down in price so the normal monitors are losing demand and falling below the £100 mark.

This looks like a sweet deal for console owners.

If only it was a TV :(

I know I ask for a lot!

Took delivery of one today. First impression are good. I do not like the auto settings - they almost blinded me! I will spend some time getting the settings to my liking before commenting more.

Frame is slightly wider than other monitors but appearance is OK.

Stick a hd Tuner in and you're golden.

It's a very tough call between this and the Iiyama ProLite E2409HDS-1 24". Works out the same price after quidco or topcashback.

I am after a monitor but have been told to get an IPS monitor as they are much better (much dearer too)
Question for you techies, please :) Will an IPS monitor give me a far superior picture in comparison to the phillips one, is it worth spending the extra cash?

Wiki - IPS stands for In-Plane Switching. Most modern monitors have this, but it depends on what level you require. Of course, if you're a graphics editor, you'd probably be spending at least £500 upwards for a decent screen.

I bought a camera dock for around £140 quid ,had some issues and returned it. I received a full refund including my postage costs.

Best service from any retailer, I have received.
