Great. As you said I wouldn't have paid the RRP but looks like a good one to replace the cheap (and temperamental) one on my Sky SD box

Thanks Heat added

Might go for it. Need one for the TV. :) Bargain!

good find , ordered one for pickup tommorow.

This is red HOT. I bought a gold plated Phillips scart cable from Asda for £2.88 last year and the picture on our LCD TV from our cable box using it is far superior to any of our other (non gold plated) scarts.

I went back a few months later to get a couple more but the price had shot up to £5.88 yet frustratingly remained at £2.88 on the the website however they charge £5 for delivery.

Pointless... Kia car is cheaper than a BMW 8 series....
p.s. they also sell them for 99p at Argos....

Cheers, I will have two for me and one for my mum.... 0.5m would have been ideal as well.
#20
Too long for what i need but a good price so hot from me:)

I have premium Philips cables - slightly different cosmetically. Difference in signal dramatic. Remember to use RGB-enabled inputs on TVs and set your digiboxes / set top boxes to output RGB for a much better image.
#24
gonna reserve 2 while at this price, for DVD and sky box. scart will be around for a while yet!
#25
Reserved one to pick up later, cheers :)

Yes it most likely will depending on how you have it connected now and what cable you're using at the moment. Unlike HDMI leads, a decent scart cable can make big improvements to the pic. As mentioned already though, make sure you check the picture settings on your Sky box are set to RGB and make sure the scart socket on your telly is RGB capable.

Reserved 3 to hand out. H&R added.
#28
Just bought 3 of them for tellys around the house. Many thanks

SCART, provided that (as others have said) RGB signals are transmitted through it, can produce a very good standard definition picture. But then there's nothing like prejudice.

Gold plating makes no difference. You are either using RGB rather than composite signals now (because SCART can carry both, and some cheap SCART leads don't have the connections made for RGB), or your old cable did not have screened (the UK English for "shielded") conductors so you got crosstalk.

Very good quality and make a difference to picture quality.

Got one from Manc Arndale - good find! I've just bought my mum a new cinema system (trying to update her) and whilst she won't have Sky HD, this should make her Sky + look a lot better.

I just went to pick up a scart and saw this one and was going to post the deal here but someone beat me to it.
Can't believe the build quality of this, it's the best I've seen on any scart lead of any price. solid metal ends with full scart pins and the cable is about 10mm thick. it weighs a bit too. not sure about the rrp but I'd have no problems paying a tenner for it.

Can't go wrong at this price!
#36
Such a good price, and there is a noticeable improvement in quality, so I have just ordered another one.
#37
Bought 5 tonight.

:-D
#38
why would you buy 5?
