That was a great find and price for 32" CRT :) Thanks 1303!

None found here, looks like they've all gone and hopefully those who ordered receive too.

One for the future, I had the 28" version of this, and the picture was absolutely superb - knocks my new lcd into a cocked hat.

You must have a pretty big bedroom! Getting this up to the correct viewing height as seen from a bed is gonna be a feat as well:-D

All depends on your postcode.

Worth keeping an eye on the site .... they seem to have some good deals on Philips CRT widescreen Tele's every now and then. Around xmas they had a 24" Philips Widescreen for around the £100 mark - amazon wanted £250 at the same time. Seen some good 28" TV deals too in the past just never thought of posting them - but will do in the future!

just a quick question, I looked at the website and could only view the tv face on. Is this tv a flatscreen, or is it a big backed (if that makes any sense) television?
#19
If anyone actually gets one Id be very surprised. Ive ordered 10-15 times from them for the Thomson 32" CRT and others, always come up in stock on website but then get email cancellation a few days later

Well its a CRT Television - that means one with the "big backs" but at the same time it is also a flatscreen (as in the screen at the very front is completely flat). However it is not to be mixed up with the LCD or plasma screens - if you find one of these for £187.15 by Philips for a 32" then you will be incredibly popular on this site!!! :giggle:

Strange, i have never had that problem with Currys to my memory, although i think Comet did that to me a while back.

hi just phoned 'em up....the lady I spoke to told me they were all OOS, she was able to check if any stores (nationwide) had any........ all gone :-(
#23
1303 - thanks for that. I did think that it would be one of the 'big backed' televisions. What made me wonder whether it was pure flatscreen (ie front and back) was the comment about 'great if not bothered about hdtv'

thanks for your help 1303

I've got past the postcode bit and put my order in before...then a few days later email or telephone call saying its not in stock, but maybe I'd like another tv. :whistling:
