As the title says.....prob been on before, but there are only a few left.

Philips 32PFL5322 32" Widescreen LCD TV - HD Ready - £299 from Richer Sounds.

When it comes to value, there's little to touch the Philips 32PFL5322.

Despite its exceptionally competitive price tag the 32PFL5322 offers excellent picture technology. The analogue TV tuner is boosted by Pixel Plus HD. This increases the number of lines and pixels, with the result of much greater detail from HD sources. Added to this is a 3D comb filter which enhances the clarity of all signals, whether they are HD or standard definition.

I bought this first time at this price, last one in the shop, I have been very pleased with it, just no Freeview but with a cheap box ( £10 at Asda or £16 delivered at Woolworths) it's excellent. Looks good and sounds good too. For the money - voted hot!

If you can name a shop that has one, then it's a deal.
Otherwise, .....

Catinthehat, you were right. It has been on before...

I haven't seen its price go back up on the Richer Sounds website in the past month, so strictly speaking, its a repeat post.

Still good price for the money

It says "Last Few To Clear, So Hurry!". This means that its an ex-demo model and at the most, each store would only ever have had one unit of these. So chances of getting it is highly unlikely.

This is INSTORE only! If it had said this in the headline I wouldn't have bothered open the page.

If you go to their website you can look at the demo/end of stock lines for each store.

Personally, I'd have recommended Richer Sounds to anyone as I've used them for 15 years but I've phoned them twice recently and they seemed totally disinterested in my phonecall and custom. A real shame :-(

Got one of these from their Norwich store a couple of weeks ago. Sales staff very helpful on the phone and happy to reserve one for me until I could collect. Came in its original packaging, so no ex-demo or returned unit or anything like that. Had several on stock.

If you are in the market for a 32" LCD, you could do worse than this. I am happy given what I paid for it. They had one or two other interesting specials, e.g. a 50" Panasonic Plasma (albeit not the very latest model) for £699.

I have no issues with RS.

. . .we all really feel for you. Maybe you should go for a little lie down?

Well, when I called the store earlier this week they said this has been discontinued and no store will have stock anymore. Expired.

EDIT: to make things worse I've just checked the clearance section of the website and they're wrongly claiming stock of this Philips at my local branch. They definately do not have any so it seems the clearance stock listing is false :(

Horrible set, horrible brand. Do not touch Philips. In fact, this set only has an analogue tuner! I'm in the television industry, ask any television engineer what they think and you'll get the answer!

Cardiff store didn't have any of these 2 weeks ago, and weren't ordering any in either.

So you're in the TV industry and you want us to ask a TV engineer. Well I would like to ask you something. If the quality is "horrible" can you tell me what you found from the inbuilt colour charts that this TV offers? How much banding was there? Also, how does it cope with overscan when connecting a PC to the digital input?
