For a bigger picture at a better price, check out the Philips 37PFL5522D.

In addition to boasting a 37" screen, the 37PFL5522D backs this up with superior picture quality. Philips' unique picture enhancement system, Pixel Plus HD, improves clarity and detail resolution by increasing the number of lines and pixels. Other picture enhancements such as the 3D combfilter, active control and jagged line suppression ensure that the 37PFL5522 gives a picture that's clean, vibrant yet natural in appearance.

With a big screen you need a big sound to match, and here the 37PFL5522 does equally well. Although no match for a separates AV system, the big Philips features "Incredible Surround" that noticeably enhances the width of sound, to create a real sense of being enveloped by it.

With twin HDMI sockets backing up the 2 SCART sockets and component, the 37PFL5522d has all the inputs you could need in a modern flat screen TV. Furthermore, a common interface slot is standard, which enhances the TV's flexibility still further.

With its slim, gloss black surround and tightly drawn lines, the 37PFL5522d matches presence with discretion like few others can. The standard metal and glass stand is also a good deal more attractive than what most rivals offer.

With sound and picture quality to match its good looks, the Philips 37PFL5522d demands your attention.

Excellent TV for the price. I bought one from Bargaincrazy a couple of months ago for £390 but that was with 10% discount code.

looks good , just seen the same in local currys for £397

I've been really considering buying this, but I've found mixed reviews. So I'm very unsure on whether I should take the leap.

Seems good for the price and the size of screen. So-so review here, though, especially for Motion Blur

I'd stay well clear of Philips older models. The current ones are top notch.

Au Contrare rodders - I have an older 26" Philips and it it is spot on. Great Sound and really crisp picture - However that is using HDMI input into a BT Vision Digital Box - not sure what difference that makes...

you cant connect this to your PC no d-sub connector, also can be had for cheaper elsewhere.

it says freeview - does this have a built in freeview tuner or does it just mean it accepts freeview digital channels??

Not strictly true - you could connect using HDMI or S-Video if you have that on your pc. It just makes it a little more difficult

I have a DVI port on my laptop, DVI to HDMI for a better connection thank you.

Where is it cheaper?

Can you tell us where its cheaper please or did you just make that up?
#17

Richer Sounds will price match on LCD screens if you take 5 year warranty. (10% of model price)

I could not find a cheaper price online. If i was going to get a tv i would want 100hz scanning to stop flickering on screen. The contrast value at 7500:1 seems low. Still at that price who care.

Easy to pick up from store too. Shame they dont do quidco.

Trouble with TV and retailers is no 2 retailers have the same exact model in stock. Its always got a letter at the end or a slightly different model number. This makes it hard to spot good value at times.
