Undeniably expensive for a 40 inch TV, but this is arguably just about as good as it gets for a non-3D LED sets and at the best price I've ever seen for this model.. by quite some margin.

Yes it may have been replaced by a newer model, but at almost half the price of the new kid on the block I suspect this deal may well be of interest those that are looking for a high quality picture (and sound!) experience without having to purchase half a dozen sets of glasses to enjoy a film with friends!

Very highly rated by all those 'in the know'. If only this deal had been available 48 hours ago, and before I invested in an inferior alternative :(

Good £150 - £200 dearer every where else. Voted hot. Yes it is expensive but if you want this TV then it is the best price.

Nothing wrong with Philips TV's as most of the top awards are given to them. More expensive than the rest but you pay for what you get.

I've done mine all on my own!

I reckon this is the best £1000 set for picture quality out there at the moment.

Lots of negatives but nobody has posted a better price!

I have this set and paid slighly more with a 5 year warranty. This is a great price for a brilliant tv, this is probably the best 40" LCD available at the moment and its replacment will cost much more although will be 3D capable.
