Good price but I would say go and have a look at one before you purchase. I was dead set on this TV a while back until I saw one in the shop.

Why do people always make daft comments like this without putting anything substantial in?...

just got through to checkout on the last page and there is no discount, seems like it was a mistake as they are no longer showing the phillips discount blurb on that tv.

It wasn't an error. M&S have one day promotions like this from time to time - you just have to act quick.

I managed to bag the recent M&S promo for the Panny TX-P42G10B for £657.72 on a similar deal but was made all the more sweeter as it had the "Deal Of The Day" and the "TV Deal of the Week" promotion applied to it on top of the Panny promo. The same TV was out of stock by 1:30pm that same day.

Qty Item Price Despatched Subtotal
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TAKE VAT: - £21.28
Panasonic TV: - £150.00

It showed 8% but was only tracking at 5%. Don't know what's happened now though

Seems like a helpful comment to me.
Basically warning people that this TV looks good on paper but isn't that great in the flesh.
If I was considering this TV I would take his advice and have a look at it in a shop (not that I would buy a TV without seeing it first anyway)

i put this tv in the basket on the website and went to the checkout this morning (sunday) and got all the discounts taking it to £485, got called away from my pc, went back to the website and the philips promo discount of £150 has dissapeared, so it had expired. oh well i wanted this tv, been waiting for an offer like this, looks like M&S have lost a sale, going to look elswhere!

It's worth trying again tomorrow. Same happened to me last week with M&S but the following day it was on again.

Yup i agree ...no point in buying it even if others say its great or bad as what one person finds nice or bad to the eye , another may not...always go check it out for yourself in the shops.

Think ive owned every brand going with regards to LCD and Plasma and im still not happy to this day ....maybe im just too fussy , but for me i want an outstanding picture not an average one...i got a costly Kuro as i was informed it was the best , god if thats the best then i would sooner wait

Yes, but why isn't it that good in the flesh?...

Was the picture quality naff? (could be due to signal being split across multiple demonstrations units...).
Did he not like the looks of it? (which would be a subjective opinion, so completely pointless).
