Ambilight is a really nice feature on the Philips ..........had it over 6 years ........enhances viewing pleasure

I think I'm an ambilight snob. I have 3 sided ambilight and love it, I look down disapprovingly on 2 sided ambilight.

I personally love Philips tv,the picture quality as always very good, and the styling is top notch, compared to brand like Samsung. £400for a 47" seems such a bargain,I've been eyeing these and the 4k models for a while now.heat.

I have the 40inch version of this and love it I've yet to find fault and that's a great price.xx

'Falling profits have forced Philips to move its television production into a joint venture with a Chinese company, called TP Vision.....
....The deal now means Philips is completely out of the TV business, and its brand will only appear on TVs made by other companies.'

Philips cancelled the outsourcing contract back in 2013. A quick search of Google will show you all the details
