I've added an image to your post, for help on how to do this check out the links in my signature. Thanks

seems like a decent price, not sure if its any good though

ordered one. definitely a good price for DAB and some good reviews. looks great - ideal for the kitchen, even better because it's supplied with a line in for plugging in your mp3 player
#5
Just ordered mine for the kitchen! Our knackered old analogue radio was splattered in paint and the arial is snapped off (wasn't me - honest)

If the Amazon reviews are anything to go by, a damn hot deal!

One of the reviews mentions not being able to get the BBC DAB stations is that true??

Bought this last year for a bargain £39.96 and believe me at this price, this is an absolute snatch. My only "warning" is that it's far too good to be a clock radio in the bedroom....... the sound (for its size) is utterly AwSoMe ! ! ! (Honest ! !)- just read the Amazon reviews...............:)

Hey Orlando08, can you get the BBC stations on this ?
Let us know please

I'd say it's more likely that particular reviewer can't get the BBC stations in his area, rather than the radio itself.

Is The Clock Bit An Lcd So It Can Be Seen In The Dark?
#12
i've had one of these for 15 months. Sounds quality is great, it'll go much louder than you would think from the size of it. It'll pick up all the BBC stations as questioned above.

Ah well, I've bought one anyway !

If its carp it'll go back - but from what I've read on here (and the Amazon reviews) it looks like a safe bet.

Cheers peeps :)

It is true, they've put a special chip in it that stops all BBC radio stations apart from Radio Scotland from playing - same with all Phillips DAB radios, Sony do it too and Pure. Another chip mutes out the words 'the', 'mice' and 'cloud' - regardless of the station. Instead of those words, you hear a cartoony 'boing' sound effect.

Phillips are yet to offer a convincing rationale for the inclusion of these two 'additional functionality' chips, the Dutch company's UK spokeman said 'BBC Scotland is really good, have a listen.' He later added 'I am Dutch, it is nice to see you.'

On the plus side, the radio has a screen that can show tv programmes just like a tv, it also changes colour and sometimes spills tea from one of its cables.

I have lost the will to live.

i've had one of these for a couple of years

very good build quality

very good sound quality

i paid the same from amazon when it was last at this price (it went back up to around £90 as i recall)

this is a no-brainer - buy, buy, buy
#23
It is worth checking to see what DAB stations you can get in your area before ordering. You can do this by clicking on the link below & searching via postcode...

http://www.ukdigitalradio.com/coverage/postcodesearch/

We bought one for work with the intention of listening to radio one, all we can get it bbc essex, gold and kiss (the worst station in the world)

Regardless, this looks like a very nice piece of kit :)
#24
Can this unit run on batteries and can you set the alarm to only come on on week days?

Thanks in advance

For that, you will need a WIFI radio.
#26
think I might try one of these in the kitchen - heat added. Thanks
#27
I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago from CDiscount for 32.99. It's brilliant - the sound quality is great, it's well built and definitely worth this price!
#28
reviews on amazon say that you can't preset the volume of the radio alarm when it comes on and the factory setting is quite loud.
#29
sounds like an absolute baragin, price of a budget model, good brand and its a clock as well

really cant moan for this

heat and rep added

Do Amazon usually get stuff back in when they go out of stock, or when it's gone is it gone? I REALLY wanted one of these, I've been waiting for a cheap-yet-good DAB radio for ages!
