£25 for a toaster? Does it ask you if you would like toast?

£80? Ha.ha. £25 is about right for this toaster. The good thing about the one-slot 2-slices toaster is that you can toast longer items such as french bred (halfed) and round rye bread (polish style). There are not many one-slot toasters around, so for this reason it's hot.

wow a digital toaster....does that mean it warms the bread up with binary?

They did email out some customer specific £5 off £20 vouchers valid until 7th November so OP may have had one of those.

I was just about to order until I googled for some reviews, not brilliant

I own this toaster and probably paid something near full price for it.

The reason? Because the digital timer counts down to show you how many seconds you have left before your toast pops out.

This is great for **** retentives like me - I also have a digital countown timer for my tea, so you can start to see the incentive.

At this price, I'm inclined to buy another one as backup, but everyone else should probably steer well clear - the Amazon reviews are dead right - it completely fails to toast evenly.
