not had a good experience with Argos Ebay outlet, but good price if honoured.

If you live close to the Argos Clearance Bargains outlets in Stanley, Wolverhampton or Corby - they have a Samsung BDP-1500 Blu Ray with 2 movies in the box (I Am Legend and Oceans Thirteen) for £70.

What about picking up a ONKYO DVBD507 for £69.95 by looking around at Richer Sounds.

I was tempted for a moment, but this has awful reviews. And the two movies are awful, so for the same price I've gone for the one fom the OP - heat added.

Does anyone know if it has optical audio out?

I have the Philips player and its not too bad. It doesn't have BD-Live (not sure how many people want to use this feature, but if you want it, don't bother). One minor problem is that if you press "stop", you can't resume where you left off from so you need to press "pause" instead. Doesn't have optical digital out (only co-axial digital). Other than these things, a good budget player. I picked mine up for about £57 in Best Buy a couple of months back.

Isn't this the model that's £57 in Asda?

I bought this in hmv for £100 bundled with the hangover, the dark knight and 300, and it's on offer 'buy a Phillips blu ray player and get the a-team or satc 2 free. And I had a £25 hmv voucher so it was only £75! Bargain

The Philips BDP2700 is most likely a more recent model and is only £79.99 at Argos.

Why would you want an unknown brand like Onkyo, walks away...
