I wouldnt touch RGB DIRECT with a bargepole!!!!!!

Had a TV from them and when it was 2wks old we found a major defect on it. We contacted them and was told to go to Samsung. Their engineers said it was a manufacturers defect and to get a replacement from the retailer (RGB) and they were ar** holes from then onwards. They refused to replace it, they were going to refund but deduct money from the refund as we didn't have the box (it was a 46" tv, have u seen the size of the box???) and they would charge us for collecting it too!
We stopped the collection to seek legal advice only to be told -in writing- the 'offer' to refund or replace had now expired and to go to Samsung for a warranty repair!!!!! still within months of the original purchase.

Once again - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER!!!!!

Ordered one for my parents for crimbo

wouldnt touch the ebuyer one
it would have to be half the price of a branded one
#12
It's a good price for what seems to be a very capable player, widely available at ASDA and Sainsburys for £97 if you don't want to risk buying from a site you may not have heard of or trust.

Yes it's a shame it doesn't play divx via usb but if you have a WDTV or a usb input on your surround sound dvd player its not a issue, voted hot

Thing is here I've seen the other side of the coin and to be honest in the time frame yours went faulty we would probably have taken responsibility for it.

but...

The problem is customers want it all! and this leads to blanket rules like this. companies would have to probably to add probably around an extra 30% to their pricing structure if they were to concede to all the whims of the average customer.

The other thing is manufacturers have too much power as things stand, they often won't refund or replace faulty items, even to retailers, leaving us with refurbished goods to sell at less than they paid for it in the first place.

Frankly it's a mess! all I'm trying to say the blame for this culture isn't all down to the retailer, and that all cut price retailers operate the same way(or they go out of business), it's just you only really notice if something goes wrong, which thankfully for most products is rare.

Actually they have opened up a £1m + store in Seven Kings which I visited on Fri to pick up my new 46" Sammy LED. Real nice store and service.

Under uk law the contract of sale is with the retailer not the manufacturer
people are quite within theyr right to deal 100% with the retailer if there is a fault with the product

What a scam had an email saying it's been despatched, an hour later I received this....

Dear Sir/Madam Unfortunately there has been a faulty batch of Blu-Ray players which have now been collected by the manufacturer. Therefore your order will be cancelled and refunded. Should you wish to order another Blu Ray player we will send the goods out on a free express delivery (normally £14.95) by calling our internet sales line and ask for Andrew. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards RGB Direct

Yet they now have it on their website for £159.99!!

Won't be using them again!

Absolutely and the customer has every right to fund that law if they choose, If you want to shop at retailers that work on a markup of 10% you have to make concessions.
