The Philips BDP3000 offers the latest Blu-ray spec with Philips quality at a top value price.

With x.v Colour and 1080p resolution at 24fps, the Philips BDP3000 offers a sense of realism that you can only get from Blu-ray. As you'd expect, the BDP3000 will also upscale your existing DVDs to full 1080p meaning that, provided you have a 1080p TV, all your existing DVDs can be viewed at the highest resolution possible.

Matching this superb picture quality is an equally impressive sound. DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD give accurate and precise sound through 7.1 channels. Philips's usual quality of design shines through with their careful selection and design of audio components giving a better sound quality than many rivals.

In addition to superior quality sound and vision, Blu-ray takes the experience one stage further with BD-Live. Thanks to a standard Ethernet connection, it's possible to link the player up to the Internet. From here you can download data such as images, subtitles and bonus content linked to specific Blu-ray discs.

With its rounded edges, the Philips stands apart from other "square" designs and is every bit as distinctive as their flat panel TVs. For thrilling sound and vision from Blu-ray, the Philips BDP3000 makes an ideal choice.

Be warned, most of these will be ex-demo. Just called the Watford store and they confirmed it.

Yes i would imagine so.... and the fact that most of the stores only have one would also point to it.
I bought my Sammy TV from richer sounds recently and they tried to flog me a demo Sammy bluray for £109, it had scratches and fingerprints all over it so i declined the offer.

They are great machines! I got one of these from sainsbury's for £77 (had voucher and staff disc) and it's a great investment!

Hi rickj,

I wanted to take this opportunity to reply as I feel your comment is totally unfair!

The Philips BDP3000 is now an end of line product and by definition we only have a small number remaining across the company. Due to availability they are only available in certain stores and, due to the already rock-bottom prices, I regret we are unable to transfer these clearance products between our stores.

However, we do try to make this as clear as possible on our website by stating that this model is now “last few to clear” even listing which stores still have stock!

Many thanks,

hmm, i was in sainsburys the other day and i saw a woman wheeling a trolley load of these through the store, i said to her, oh are these going cheap, like for 7.49 - seeing some misc 7.49 11.45 2.47 etc price stickers on a sheet on top, she laughed and said it would be nice wouldnt it and disappeared with them, wel i continued with my shop and went back to the elctrical section where they were marked as save something daft like £77, were 176.19, now just £97 and there were 3 left on the shelf - now seeing RS post below, makes me think they were going to the staff room so when the impending price cut comes, theres none left on the shelf and staff get the xmas bonus

Perhaps just discontinued at Richer Sounds? Shops get stock in and out all the time for various reasons.

Hi ir2000,

We have stopped stocking this model and are now clearing out our last remaining stock. However, this model may still be available from other retailers.

Thanks again,

Sometimes ex display model isnt a issue. I bought a tv ex display model. I was unlucky not to have got one of the unsold stock models a week earlier. Not too worried with a 5 year warranty on it. no apparent scratches or defects on it. it was missing a few screws.
