It looks good but cant justify it to the missus as she wants to save for an extension (thats to the house btw and not me ;) ). Bit confusing about the Wi-fi though - description says its built in but reading up on other websites, including Philips, it suggests you need an optional dongle for it to work. Even more confusing a user review on Amazon says it is built in - anyone know what exactly you get out of the box please?

Confused - I'm interested if wi-fi is built in and you don't need a dongle.
#8
I've just ordered one too, seems much cheaper than everywhere else and has great functions!
#9
going off philips' site it appears you would need a dongle.

However, from my understanding it also has an ethernet port for those able to use it wired.

Philips web site states this is wifi ready and requires an optional dongle

*Philips Wi-Fi USB adaptor WUB1110 required (sold separately)

nice find.
#15
for £50 cannot go wrong, this is hot hot hot!

Damnit, about a month ago we spent ~2.5x this on the same model. It's brilliant, particularly impressed with the quality streaming from the PC (using DLNA Server i.e. Serviio), and considering most of my stuff is low def, it does a great job of upscaling.

Is it too late to send it back and get a refund and then buy this, I wonder? ;-)

Just got £5 student discount too! (From a card that expired years ago)

Thank you OP :)

I took back the last Philips blu ray player I bought as it was louder than my washing machine when loading from disc so think I will give this a miss, although a good price for wifi blu ray player with live.
