Went into my local Asda tonight in Dunstable and they had 5 Philips Blu-ray players with Divx for £77.00. Cannot remember the model number I'm afraid and I have no clue if this is a national price but I thought I'd let you know.

This was reduced to £50 in asda benton. Box had been opened and resealed but everything was there in mint condition. There was one left on sunday but i doubt theres any others left. The model no is BD-P2500. Not brilliant reviews online, but it was just for the bedroom mainly because my dvd player died but also so i can watch a few blu rays in bed. Word of warning, no HDMI cable included so unless you want to watch through the cable provided which doesnt even have a scart connector its just the yellow red and white connector, i would suggest you pick up an HDMI cable

It does have a USB port on the back, but cant play off it apparently only do firmware updates. Also is DivX certified (little bit useless without the usb function)

Can the USB Port be hacked like the LG's?

Just wanted to add, its not just the BDP2500 for £77. I found this in asda before the post, and they had the BDP2500 and BDP3000, BOTH for £77. The BDP3000 is a much better player, a latest model with BD Live 2.0 etc and good reviews for the price.

Also, the BDP3000 manual says it couldn't play movies from the USB port but this was updated in the second firmware to support the USB port far better, play movies pictures and music etc, so it's probably the same for the BDP2500.
