Good review here http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/telephones/philips-cd2352s/1065762/

Ones in that link for same price are refurbished or ex display BTW, Argos is brand new stock :)

very noce voted hot. My recent portable phone just broke and i have a handy £10 voucher laying about.
#6
Would be great for me if the intercom feature works both ways, could put one in the house and one in the granny flat :-) Voted hot :-)
#7
I have had these phones for about 6 months now and they are very good think i paid about £21-00 on ebay but had to pay another £6-50 post so these are hot.
#8
Hmm, there are two links to different retailers selling them for the same (half) price from the review posted by deanos above. (Sure they charge P&P but it doesn't feel so hot anymore.)
#9
Jongee can the little handset call the big one (intercom). I know it works vice versa. Thanks :-)
#10
Under 25 quid for two handsets with a built in answerphone from a quality manufacturer. How can this not be anything else other than scorchio!
#11
thanks
#12
Great bargain Deanos, reserved for pickup tomorrow

I would be interested to know this too as it would be a very useful feature so if anyone knows the answer please do tell...
#14

Would these be new or refurb, do argos have to state if they are refurbs, this place is selling them for around the same money, dont know what delivery would be http://www.dectcordlessphones.co.uk/product/asp/ProdID/4668/af/page.htm

Reserved mine, will be collecting in the morning if the intercom calling is two way :-)

Awesome, collecting mine tomorrow.
I've been after a decent DECT phone after my Ericsson 260 died :(

Voted hot - thank you OP!
#24
Same here picking mine up in the morning :-) Lets hope the price dont change :-)
#25
Thanks for the heads up but was very disappointed with this phone :( The phone feels cheap and plasticy and has very basic operation. My 5 year old Philips Onis Vox Dect phone (which was due to be replaced by this) has more options and it's now going back to Argos tomorrow.
#26
If you want Quality and no gimmicks, I can't reccomend Panasonic enough. Why? Because they're primarily oriented as business phones and businesses demand quality. E.g. the warranty is registered with their business dept. rather than consumer end.
#27
This year I seem to be buying more and more panasonic stuff, you review what you want and it alwasy seems to come out on top. Best panny thing I have is my 50' commercial plasma. I'm not a brand person but they seem to be producing less plastic rubbish than the rest :-) Still going to pick this one up as it should do fine for my home :-)

I got the 3 pack version a couple of months ago to replace my now dead Philips Onis/Zenia set up - and it's a bit of a let down. It does feel cheap and flimsy and sometimes you find that they haven't re-engaged in charger properly. Ring tones are woeful - so I'm just 'putting up' with one'. Still at this price it's got to be better then a Binatone/idect.

Sorry to disagree with you they can and take it from me alter the price overnight and no way will the give it to you at the reserved price.
Look closely at the terms and conditions.

The phones are plastered on large posters at the discounted price so they will be no problem with them changing until the finishing date arrives for the offer.

I'm sure these are not refurbs but last week-end I picked up a quad set of Mango phones from Argos at half price....they didn't work but did have a couple of telephone messags and some numbers from the previous owner:giggle:

Hi

I was thinking of buying a triple or quad set of the BT mango - what did you think of them??

Hi

We bought the yellow...they were cheaper...bit like toys to be honest and very unstable in the charger stand for the extra handsets...and on reviewing further it seems closing the handset up (slide phones) actually disconnected the call...and they were quite sensitive to to this so calls would be cut off mid call. In the end we bought the BT Verve 500 quad set from telephones online.....going to try them when I get home from work tonight...sim reader was useful on both sets though.
#34
Fantastic phone got it today only problem is the lcd screen isnt always illuminated which is a pain when trying to see the time

Also when you enter the names and numbers into one handset you have to do it all again for the 2nd

Top phone though

Mine was new so

Picked up these today, great deal and excellent build quality.

One problem I've noticed, not sure if anybody else is getting it...the handsets seem to forget the time after a couple of hours and reset back to midnight!

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks :)
Chris
#37
can you connect two sets together as i need 4 phones in my house:?
#38
@chrishyder: i've just noticed this on mine, except on mine only the hour resets itself, the minutes are correct.

@stuart1955: Yes.

Update: Theres nothing wrong with the clock on the phones. It appears they update the time via your phone line.
#39
Can anyone else confirm this 'forgetting time issue' was looking to buy one of these until this :(
#40
Re the time resetting this should not happen as this will be used to stamp calls made, received suggest you contact support
