Philips iPhone dock car radio spotted in Carmarthen Halfords for £25, bit of a bargain I think. Don't know if it's national or not but may be worth calling in if you're passing.
I have the Android version and it works ok, screen on the unit is very small, but not important if you have the phone docked.

Very much doubt other branches will have this - as with similar offers of this type before.

resisted the urge to buy

Incredible deal, however pretty sure not at any Halfords branch around. I'd like to travel even a bit farther for this however have absolutely no idea where Carmarthen or Cumbernauld are... never heard of either of these towns...

Wales and Scotland. Google it : )

Yep, did suspect that's not for the English folk... online only refurbished for 89 quid! The idea of the cradle is pretty clever for me, the phone in it serves well as satnav

Opportunity for someone to buy it & send it on to you in exchange for a few beer tokens perhaps? (But more likely to end up on ebay by one of those folks who loves to vote cold? :| )

Does it drain your mobile's battery when you are on the long journey?

Installed one in a mk1 focus no problem. Worth noting doesn't work with ignition off and the ipod interactivity is not brilliant due to poor software. However the dock works very well and you can charge other devices using the USB port

Yes the charge is powerful enough to charge even with sat nav

Android version is not perfect, sometime screen stays on, sometimes not, and sometimes seems to start when other bluetooth devices are connected, but otherwise seems to work well. Never had any problems connecting or controlling the head unit. Sat Nav & music player work well together, mutes the music for direction instructions then returns to playing, (On Android at least, have no experience of the ipod version.) As others have said, can charge the phone even with music playing & sat nav on.

If it doesn't work with ignition off you need to invert the red and yellow cables on the iso connector.
One is a permanent live, the other is ignition live.
In many cars they're inverted.
You can disconnect the cables from the iso connector by pushing the very small pin next to the cable inside the connector by using a needle.

Certainly a cracking price. Vacant fault that. From the images though on Halfords site doesn't look iPhone 5 and up compatible.

that's why I never bought it. it's not

My iPhone 5 works ok with it - I have an "official" 30pin to lightning converter sat in the cradle for charging purposes, but the actual connection seems to take place over Bluetooth.

Not sure how much this might help sway your decision, but definitely thought it was worth sharing just in case.

Hi. I would be very pleased if you can help me. I bought standard replacement set with connector for Focus Mk2 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-FOCUS-2005-on-CAR-RADIO-STEREO-FASCIA-FACIA-FITTING-ADAPTOR-KIT-FP-07-10-/111148877927?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AFocus%7CPlat_Gen%3AMK+II&hash=item19e0fd4867 and I found that connector doesn't have white piece in socket which needs to be to control your volume by your remote situated bext to your steering wheel. I checked at halfords and connector cost £25. This same as radio cost. Can I connect this without proper connector?
I mean this white piece http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/WIuMiUiWKzE/maxresdefault.jpg
