I think this hack might help.

Open the tray, Press 99990 on the remote, Region 0 will appear on the left of the screen.

Seems like a decent price but why oh why do so many companies completely omit the wattage of the speakers in the spec? Surely it's pretty much the most important bit of information when picking a home cinema? Bloody frustrating! :(

No HDMI ? no upscaling? no digital sound input?

Why would you want this?

I bet DVDs will look horrible in your 1080p TV with this.

If you are only using old TV then fair enough but otherwise I don't think is good

Not sure this is a good deal.

It's like saying WOW I found a SONY cassette recorder for a decent price but is a good brand.

Sorry cold for me.

Well I've got a 3 or 4 years old SONY Home Cinema Centre and the DVDs look horrible in a 1080p TV no upscaling no nothing, I watch my DVDs in the XBOX 360, PS3 or PC I can't remember the last time I turn that Home Cinema Centre on.

If you want to get this mainly for the surround sound you probably better off getting just speakers or something else.

Glad to help mate

If you want a decent budget DVD 5.1 Home Cinema System - then get the Sony DAV - DZ260 (can be had for £120-150 - I paid £130 for mine) - has HDMI, does upscaling of DVDs and had both optical and coaxial digital in.

I currently have my PC, Sky+, XBox 360 and PS3 all connected to this via an optical switch and it is fantastic.

Although I got mine for £180 last week. Same place. The DVD player is worth £80 alone. Should be red hot that deal.

Whoops - okay looks like it has gone up in price recently - Glad I got it when I did - as everywhere was selling them for about £130 (Dixons, Currys, Richer Sounds, Amazon) and now I cant find it for less than about £185 and thats on play trade.

Sorry.
