Erm, I think it's the fact that you can measure in 'cups'!

Nothing more than lingo.

"One cup indicator

Enabling consumers to avoid boiling more water than needed and therefore save energy by up to 66%, reducing their impact on the environment."

Maybe it is insulated to keep water warmer, longer ????? If not, then I can see no point in it.
#4
3k watts energy efficient.
Nah, the only energy saved is not having to take it out to turn it around as it has a 360 rotational base.
#5
yeah, it looks to be the fact it has a cup indicator. A bit like saying a car with a speedometer is energy efficient.
#6
It is energy efficient - as you only boil one cup if thats all you need.
Saying its NOT because its a 3kW is wrong -even the only kettle approved by the Energy Saving Trust and E-On is a 3kW kettle ( the Eco Kettle ) - again because you only boil how ever many cups you need. So I guess every kettle is energy efficient if you just boil what you need.
Though Argos don't claim this kettle to be energy efficient - the OP added that to his/her heading.
its says : saves up to 66% energy.
