D'you know, I saw this offer in Homebase too - but didn't believe it. Guess it wasn't a mistake!

Whilst this is a good offer, you should be able to get some free energy saving light bulbs from your electricity supplier. IIRC Powergen sent me a pack of 5 a while ago. When I switched to SWALEC I got some more in their welcome pack.

    Check your power supplier's website.

still can't beat the 5 for 50p at Morrisons, but as that deal aint on anymore this one is hot.

    5 for 39p at B&Q kinda beats it ...

Are they the ones that look like tampons and take about 20 minutes to light up?

this offer has been going on for donkey ages, its always 5 for £1 or 5 for 90p, still you get customers asking if its a misprice and some of them take advantage of the offer just a tad too far haha.

Who said I was talking about your B&Q ones ?

When are they going to design ones that look better and give better light?

I detest energy saving bulbs. The ones in my living room have been in situ for about 6 months and already there is a gloom settling.....they're absolutely rubbish, but the price is a good un and they do save money in the long run.

They have actually designed some that look better and give out decent light .. thats why they are offloading this **** at cheap prices ...
