we got free ones from the energy co - seems like eco friendly products are beating the credit crunch. now global warming . . .
#2
Also 50p for 5 in Tesco to! Remember these were £10 for 1 when they first came out.
#3
Would be a good deal if this includes 100w equivalent bulbs. These ones aint bright enough.
#4
10p each in Morrisons aswell
#6
As previously posted stock up with these bulbs because for sure when the incandescent bulb is no longer available and the manufacturers etc. have a captive market, my monies on they will be costing pounds not pence.;-);-);-)

Wow what good a research result - so if you sit with your face against the bulb for 4 hours a day it could put you at risk............ lucky someone undertook this high level research for us i would never have guessed.
Maybe they could test those laser spirit levels and see if you shine the laser constantly in your eyes every day, if it makes you go blind?

;-)

my older philips ones (over a year old) did take ages to warm up but these ones (well the ones morrissons were doing) light up near instantly ...I doubt theres anything more than a second between these and the incandecent

Don't need to stock up too much, there's technology on the horizon that can light up a room from a piece of plastic the size of a pinhead running off a 12v power supply. Less than a decade away I would guess so you should only need a bulb and a spare for each room until then.
#16
I got 5 for 50p in morrisons last week, have they gone up now?
#17
Where do i get smaller energy bulbs for cheap?

they're £4 at asda :-(

Oh yep, the light bulb underworld will never let that happen, just like the tyre mafia 'disappeared' the puncture-less tyre. :-D

I wish I;d known these give you sunburn years ago ... would have saved me a ****ing bundle on flights to Corfu :whistling:

Try Tesco - many of their energy saving lightbulbs are now just £1.25 each plus BOGOF (cheapest one free) These are the same ones as in Asda, but some are now branded as Tesco rather than GE.

Bright Idea :)

True, but what I am saying is this is not a special purchase deal.

It is also now being advertised on the front page of their website ;-)
I therefore believe this offer is national. (although it may not apply in Northern Ireland which has it's own lidl website)

Yeah I know where you're coming from but it was advertised in their magazine. It 'should' be in all mainland stores but you're probably right about NI
#33
These are still available in the Totton store! Stock up while you can-as others have said the price is certain to soar once the ban on incandescent bulbs comes into force.

Whilst on the sibject, does anyone know of any bargain "dimmable" compact flouorescent bulbs?
#34
im looking for a few dimmable too, but seems they just havent cracked it yet
