I have one of this Phillips one with no settings ( GC7619/20 ). These are very good and its very quick to iron cloths with out any creases.
only hitch is , these have a filter and they cost 6 GBP each. One extra filter has come with the machine and its 4 months
still I am yet to change. On average it should be one pound per month.

If you can afford , I feel its the best. Never ironing was easy before these. No more burnt cloths.

I got my one for 80 GBP.

This appears to be recent model. You will be never unhappy , I can assure you.

Hope this helps.
I have a really old Philips steam generator, it's getting a little tired now and I'm thinking of buying this, but unsure as there aren't any reviews, but I think this one doesn't need the de scale cartridges, or that's how I read it in the full description!?
Saying "Usually dispatched within 2 to 3 weeks" on Amazon website. What's the chances of this being honoured and within the stated time?

Sorely tempted as I've just returned a week old Morphy Richards. Used for 2nd time yesterday and descale light came on (we live in Scotland) and wouldn't go back off. Debenhams refunded money. Was looking last night and plumped for a Philips (not as good a model but was dearer than this deal) but saw this deal before I purchased the GC8620/02

I have just bought this item and they are estimating delivery at the end of July. I have posted a link which compares this iron to other Phillips models.

All of them are roughly £200+. Also, an iron which is again similar on the Phillips shop website is £160 but not quite as good as the two shown with similar model.

Really seems as if this is an absolute bargain after doing a lot of research this morning.
I bought this on 7 July and delivery for me is also etimated end of July. Not in a rush so don't mind when it arrives. Really is a bargain - it is this years (2014) model so there aren't any user reviews yet and not all stores have stocked it yet. Although Argos has..and it's selling for £239.99. The previous 2012 model (GC8635/20) has some pretty decent reviews:
has anyone had this order delivered. mine still says it has no date!
has anyone had this order delivered. mine still says it has no date!

Mines was delivered on the Friday 1st August. Fabulous iron
