Paid £50 for a Breville Spectra with the color changing lights, don't think it's even 2yrs old and every time I boil the kettle I have to empty the rest of the water out of the kettle or it leaks like a c***.

At least the lid don't keep popping open like other owners have complained about and burnt their hands.

I never knew it was so hard to buy a new kettle, might go for this.

Changing lights are just a gimmick although I do like color change from blue to red when boiling but when not in use would like the lights off.

Looking on Amazon a lot of these top brands either leak, lid falls off, paint peels, switch don't work, doesn't switch off or blows ya mains fuse. Some one said their kettle exploded.
Kenwood and Breville seem to be the worst.

21st century and you can't even get a decent kettle.

Is this Philips a good un?

looks good!

Looks like it's designed for left-handers....

If you watch the water, then you'll use your left hand to pick it up....

More chance to burn yourself if you can't do this easily - unless the clear plastic bit is on both sides - anyone know?

We've got this kettle , bargain at £15 as it is excellent .

Window is on both sides by the way .

Obviously sold out then...:whistling: I ordered mine when I posted the deal last night and it was in stock.

Great price but definitely not worth waiting up to 2 months to get it! As they say a watched kettle never arrives...or something like that...:p

LOL, I've added it to my orders, as they don't take payment until dispatched so nothing lost - and if it turns up then great bargain.

I do like Amazon's window of delivery 6th May to 15th June, how random.

Just ordered one using that link above.

I came to the conclusion many years ago that the most important thing when buying a kettle is the duration of the warranty. They seldom seem to last very long, so it's handy to be able to get a free replacement when they do pack up.

Stompa (currently on my 4th Bosch kettle)

I've had one of these for a year.

Looks good, boils pretty quickly. Only thing I'd say is that it's quite noisey.

Hot!

I have had problems with 2 expensive SS kettles with the concealed element over the last 5 years. I gave up and went for a white plastic M&S kettle with an "open" element for £5. No problem over the past 18 months.
