I have one of those. Very good quality.

 Just ordered 1

good price but keep your polishing cloth near by (finger prints/water drops)

I have one of these .. not a good quality at all. the top broke quickly, leakage from the bottom, difficult to clean etc. Contacted Philips who asked me to take it to one of their representatives. You will be shocked to know that there are only "2" philips representative companies in London who will fix this for you. One in camden. Voted cold.

We've had two Philips kettles and they both developed faults fairly quickly. One even leaked. Other products of theirs have been just as unreliable. I'm always a bit wary about buying anything Philips for build quality.

I've had one of these for about 4 years now and never had any problems - the best kettle I've owned.

seems like a great price for a philips kettle

Good price - the same one in brushed finish is £28

voted hot

Will grab this for my parents as their kettle has just broke

bought this at £15 a month ago when the price was the same on amazon.

very well built, good & solid -can see it lasting for years.

the only slight negative is that the steam sensor is a bit weak (seems a common 'problem') -meaning the kettle keeps boiling that little bit longer and more steam in the kitchen.

without a doubt the best kettle ive owned though and at this price still its a steal! voted hot! -have 9 degrees from me.

Also bought this last time from Amazon last time it was on offer haven't had any problems with it. Good buy.

Re the problems, why bother going to Philips? Just take it back to where you purchased it, your contract is with the store not Philips, Amazon would refund you in a flash.

Good timing, what with the Breville Toaster t'other day. Gone for this - another thing less to get nearer to moving house.

A few of the reviews on Amazon mention leaking as well, the words "kettles & leaking" should not go together no matter what!

yes we had a Morphy Richards kettle bought through Amazon - it developed a fault and I went through Amazon to Morphy Richards who sent me a replacement FOC. they just told me to chuck the old one away which I did. I thought that was great customer service!

Thanks, will buy one

thanks, i ordered one too.

Just a warning, I bought this kettle from Amazon for the same price 6 weeks ago. And it stoped working last week. The problem is that it is not in the return windows of Amazon, and it is not easy to get replacement from Philips.

You purchased it from Amazon so they should either replace it for a new one or arrange to have it fixed. Don't be put off by the tosh about return windows dates and demand they get it sorted. Refer to the Sale of Goods Act.

Similar specifications and good brand names for both. But they look slightly different.
The RH is £29.99 in Comet and was £23 in Tesco (but out of stock)
I'd go for the Philips because it is £7 cheaper and will be delivered
