The SENSEO Latte Select coffee machine offers you delicious coffee specialties made with fresh frothy milk. Choose from Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Cafe Latte and regular black SENSEO® coffee all at the touch of a button.

This retails around £150. Philips have a range of these and this is the best model which gets excellent reviews. Comet are selling for £124.99 in store or £99.99 online (including reserve and collect). Use promotional code REVIEW5 to bring it to £94.99 less possible quidco. Thanks to ashleyh for bringing my attention to the 5% code.

A similar deal was posted for the base model before Christmas since expired, this is rather more expensive but considering the saving over RRP and that it is considerably cheaper than anywhere else I could find I thought it worth posting. I purchased mine today and so far very pleased. Pods are between £2 and £2.50 for 18 in supermarkets or you can buy the ecopad from Germany (via popular action site) for £4.75 for 2 and refill with your own filter/ground coffee powder which saves a lot of £. Pods are also available in Lidl at about £1.50 a pack (Melangerie Kenya Blend Coffee Pods),

Testfreaks rating 9.3/10; http://www.testfreaks.co.uk/coffee-makers/philips-hd7850/

p.s. if there's a Sainsbury's nearby you could even pick up a tin or roses (or 10) whilst you're there for £2.50 a pop!

As I mentioned in the opening description this is a superior model. I don't bother posting much for this very reason - the voting system is flawed - vote cold if you see this particular model cheaper and available elsewhere otherwise hot or ignore it. Seems that the only deals worthy of heat are those that are only available in one or two local stores or relate to a £2.50 tin of roses where you go off and buy 36 tins. You then spend the rest of the year looking for weight loss remedies LOL.

Happy new year!

This IS a good price for this model.

Plus 4% Quidco IIRC.

Good price for this model.. H&R

Yup, it is a cracking price for this model, but you can also save another fiver by using the code
REVIEW5 bringing it down to £94.99. Voted Hot
Main difference between this and the cheaper model is this version also has a milk tank for producing Latte etc.
Looking online nowhere else has it for less than £146.
Had one reserved, but then spotted the the Bosch Tassimo deal and went for that instead.

Have some H&R fro me, not for the deal as I haven't a clue if it's good or not. But loved the rant, I agree totally. You could post a deal for a brand new Rolls Royce for a quid and someone would vote cold because it had crap mpg.:giggle:

Thanks, I have updated the post. Looks like this needs some sort of miracle to get it out of negative territory though. Oh well, hopefully someone will find it useful and I'll keep them peeled for some chocolate deals in the mean time.

I think I over did it on the coffee testing, cant sleep now!

I agree totally. Great price - have some heat

Excellent price for this model - however, I doubt my 1% heat will drag it out of the cold!

I did have the cheaper model, got it almost brand new from the car boot for £3, and recently gave it away on Freecycle as the coffee was so bad!

Like you said though, this model does all sorts, and at a damn good price I'm sure it shoud be at least out of the cold.
