Avoid! It's really not worth bothering with the first generation hue lightstrips. The second generation ones are more than 10x brighter (1,600 lumens instead of only 120), and can sometimes be bought for less than this.

The generation 1 are a lot poorer than the generation 2 strip light. Pay an extra £23 and get the newest one, you'll regret it otherwise.

Generation 2 are £64.99 at Amazon now.

Where can you buy the second gen for less than this? Would like to get some more!

I got some more when Amazon was doing them for £35. They aren't at the moment, hence the "sometimes"!

Kind of ironic for you to judge intellect, considering you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're".

£34.99 is a fantastic price
If you are not bothered about it being too bight (maybe you want mood lighting in a bedroom etc) and not bothered about it being extendable, is there any other reason you would want v2 instead of v1 ?
thanks

damn, v1 doesn't fit with the song. I'd better go for the v2...
