Edit: I understand that these have been available for less with Argos but if they don't have stock, like near me, this is the next best option

nice - Is the argos 25% off now officially over?

I don't think so but there isn't any stock near me nor delivery available so this is the next best. Although I don't need anymore. Got the whole house connected up with Alexa. Just need a few dimmer switches so other people can control them

Yeah - that's why I said officially, as it's been unofficially over ever since they ran out of stock :) The dimmers are great, I have a couple - best value part of the range :)

A few questions for anyone in the know.

Are these better than the hive lights, and if so why ? I'm thinking of going for a hive heating setup and not sure if to just stick to one make.

Are you able to change colours by using just the amazon echo without creating recipes,or can you activate the skill and then just shout out a random colour ?

Are these the newer bulbs,as I've heard the newer ones have a better colour range

Can't comment on the hive bulbs as I have never used them.

You can't change the colour with Alexa directly. You can use scenes or ifft to change colours but this takes time consuming set up.

These are V3 so the richer colour version

Thanks for that ;)

Shame you can't change the colours directly, wonder if they will do an update in the future to be able to do this.

Still way too expensive for a few bulbs. I have Alexa but will wait until these drop under fifty notes before investing.
