To those who are interested in Philips Hue, grab yourself a bargain with £45 off RRP for the E27 White and Colour Ambiance Starter Kit. Starts at 5pm tomorrow (Sunday). Don't know if they'll include the B22 starter kit but here's hoping they do.

To see the deal use the Amazon app and look under the lighting department when filtering search. I can never find it through the actual website itself.

This link should take you to a filtered page showing only this deal.

Note from the image that you can "watch" a deal. Then if you have the Amazon app it will notify you when the deal is about to start.

Hot especially as these are the newer bulbs with better deeper colours.

I really want to get this, to work with my Echo. My only concern is that the lights fitting with 3 bulbs, where I wanto place this, is already on a dimmer switch. Will this make things difficult at all?

These don't work on a dimmer switch unless you put that switch to 100% and don't touch it

Many Thanks, that may be a bit of a problem them. As it is one of those switches where you touch it to turn on and off, and the longer you touch it for, adjust the dimmer setting.

Maybe if I get one of the hue dimmer switches too, and kind of place that over the existing switch (when set to 100%) it might just work.

awesome price. normally £150.

Yes I like yellow with some red.

Like the way the turn on & off automatically when using the toilet.

Also turn them on and off via echo with voice.

Them turning on full blast in the morning helps get up.
#28
Can you use your existing switches to them on and off if needed.

Yes but when u switch them back on they r white full power.

Safety feature - Works for me, manual override when when they r getting all Skynety.

An option would be to get the hue dimmer switch and stick it next to the existing light switch. Then get and electrician to move the switch live for where you'll be putting the hue into the main live so it is technically always on.
Then you can still dim the other two lights with the main switch and use the hue one for the hue stuff.

I had a Phillips 25pc code yesterday mailed to me you might want to check

Much cheaper on lightning deal last year. Pretty poor offerings from amazon on Hue this year

Need a couple of colour bulbs. Got this a few days ago and loving it. Paid £150 though oO

Do the single colour bulbs ever get discounted much?

Also anyone know a good free app for effects? Or is any app worth paying for. Feel a bit limited with the Philips App and free scenes available so far. Want some warm flame scenes <3

For those of you who have kids - check out the Hue Disco app. Our little one loves to have a disco in our lounge every now and then!

FYI, you can buy an B22 > E27 converter kit from Amazon for about £1, which works out £3 total for the three bulbs in the Kit.

Still saving quite a bit.

Guessing this deal is not just for Prime members?
