Possibly a mistake, but just worked for me.

"Buy any floor standing lamp and get a table lamp half price"

I bought a floor standing lamp for under £20 and got the Philips lamp (which was in the table lamp section, on the same shelf as the offer card) for half what is already a good price.

Amazon list it for 79, Comet 97.

are these any good?
Seen them instore (during the day) I wouldn't mind getting one.
Cool hot
yes you do get any table lamp half price when you buy a standing floor lamp, i bought a floor lamp last week and asked about the half price table lamp, and yep it`s true! so i got a table lamp worth £20 for £10 :)
so voted HOT HOT HOT
are these any good?

I bought the version that didnt come with a remote a few weeks back. It's quite gimmicky and looks nice when shining it against a white wall. It is a luxury item rather than a necessity and I am struggling to justify why I bought it.
In its defense, the colours are pretty and brighten up a white wall nicely, but to be honest, its use is rather limited.
The price is good compared to elsewhere though - I paid £30 for the one without a remote and that was quite a good deal then.....
Good find... I just bought one of these lamps for my fiancé for £79 from Amazon.. even with a £20 floor light it would have been £20 voted hot from me..

As for the lamp, it is cool.

Good Points
- its quite bright and fun to play with
- can change the mood of a room
- works really well on light walls

Bad Points
- when in its brightest mode in some colours, it will cast a 3 line shadow around the edges which I find annoying
- the remote seems to lag behind the touch but is still very effective

Other notes
- the lamp is actually made of plastic (I thought it was glass)
- read the reviews on Amazon ;)
hot deal - got one!
Hot deal. I got this yesterday too. You have to insist at the till that the Philips is a table lamp.
FAILED - B&Q (Mile x) Norwich Declined the offer, stated many people have been trying it and the system now states its a LED light rather than a "table" lamp. Manager would not move an inch over this, i argued the fact it is positioned with the table lamps - but they argued it is a LED and NOT a "lamp" so not included.

Anyone local to Norwich managed to get the deal if so what store please...

NB they now do a £9.99 floor lamp.....
We managed to get one in the Newport branch and one in the Cardiff branch.

Had to argue the point in both stores, but got them in the end
Took the floorlamp back and got a refund. Philips remote Living Color lamp for under £40 - bargain:thumbsup:
