What are you saying then, just bragging by the looks of things. What is the point of all of these so called bargains when just maybe they might be in one store, a bit like me popping to my local butchers and finding he has a pound of sausage left and has reduced it to 75 pence just to sell it, then posting as a bargain

so it links to currys main website, and the only streamium is over 250 quid, spam and such i call this

Seen the proof!! Laughing at stupid post. You find one item in one shop, you dont even say where it is!!! You use the site to brag about your find which we do believe, but this site is about letting others know where to find a deal.

Found ex-display one for £29.99 in Merry Hill Currys. Got it home but no remote.

Phoned them up. (Polite) lady on phone thought it was a TV. I said not to worry and I'd bring it in the next day with photo of remote from internet.

Here are their 'tech' guy's comments the next day:

It was £29.99 because it had no remote - LIE
- Saw it on HUKD new at this price, and why print display labels for ex-display items with no remote?

Said he had looked for the remote after my call yesterday - LIE
- I didn't say what the item was on the phone!

Said it would cost £23 for a replacement - LIE
- See above comment - must have made that figure up on the spot

Asked my if I would like my money back - muttered I would rather he look for the remote

Overall, typical DSG lack of customer service that we have all come to accept as the norm.

Cheers guys.

I got a £29.97 one from Halifax last week - it was the last one they had on display. I asked the salesman if they had the box & bits. He gave me a box with instructions and remote which was next to it on the shelf. When I got home I found instructions for a Philips TV and DVD player plus a demo DVD for instore use - and the remote was for a TV. The unit was dead - Software update recovery mode cannot find network. Took it back and got a refund. I managed to get another from the Bradford store (the last one). It was all sealed up with a security tag and I was told it was brand new. When I got it home that turned out to be false. When opened it was covered in fingermarks and the batteries were installed in the remote.
Decided to keep this one though. I would suggest that anyone wanting something brand new from Curry's checks their purchase before making the journey home. Great device by the way.

I would like to know where on earth you got this, I assume it must be ex-display as a friend of mine called up on Sunday and was told from the central stock control that they had sold out!

So why is location a secret?

I should mention the time I found a ten pound note on the street, should I post the deal and location?

im sure you'd have just about as much luck finding another tenner at the same place as finding this for a tenner

Went into Church st Liverpool store tonite about 5pm, they had non instock but confirmed Speke and Warrington showing 1 each, might be helpful to someone close to them, but i wud not travel to them just for 1 showing as did that once b4 and they cudnt find the stock!!!

I picked one up this evening, for 9.97 was supposed to be on display but the lady at PC world went out back and found a brand new sealed box. It was the last one otherwise I would have taken a couple more for the house.

Blurb from the box:

Enjoy Internet Radio, Wireless Music Playback from PC. MP3, WMA, AAC music

Connect
Works with Windows media player or any Upnp server. Connects to your own stereo or home theater. Digital and Analog connections ready.

I have yet to break the seal on the box but I have seen them sell on fleabay for between £60 and £80. So if I don't get on with it I know where to flog it

Seal is broken now....inside I have Streamium device, 1 remote, 1 Phono to phono lead and power supply plus user guide and software CD. Quick look at the instructions just shows that connect this to your hifi with the Phono lead and configure the wireless settings for your home wireless router and away you go.

Everything inside the box in their own little sealed plastic bags and immaculate, so def a brand new item and not just resealed.

Ta m8, so basically this unit just controls the music content from ur pc and plays radio from the net via router and u have to connect the output to ur speakers, i wasnt sure wether it had its own inbuilt speakers:thinking:

At first before I got it I thought it did have speakers but none the less it connects just fine to any audio equipment, 5.1 systems hi-fis, home theatres etc., with an input for auxiliary devices. A doddle to set-up and for a tenner you definitely can't complain.

even got a discount voucher for £10 off my next PC world purchase over £100 which isn't too bad either
