I'm tempted. I currently use a babyliss istubble but I'm on the verge of buying either this or a Braun 3080s. Any thoughts?

Asda have the Lithium battery version for £25 but without the extra blade, probably a better long term purchase though.

Cannot sing the praises of this enough. hubby is a **** for letting his beard get tramp like and this just blasts through it. it isn't a close shave but it gets rid of the bulk of the hair. hubby has very sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate at all. well worth the money in my opinion. highly recommended :)

I have used the iStubble on my head for a few years now and this shaves closer but takes a bit longer to do if you have more than a few days growth. On the face it's best if you want to go from a few days growth to reasonably clean shave in one device.

I bought a couple of the one bladed packages for €14.99 each at the Carrefour in Antibes. Not sure I'd pay more

The one with lithium battery and battery display

The one with the display is the Pro and quite a lot more expensive.

I have one of these. On the upside the shave quality is brilliant, easily the best electric shaver I have ever used. It gives a close, even shave (even with attachments) and best of all doesn't irritate the skin at all. I can't shave my neck with conventional blades or other shavers because of irritation, but the One Blade doesn't bother my neck at all.

The only negative is the blades, they don't last long. I shave my face and head with mine so obviously use it more than stated but you are lucky if you get a month out the blades. The shave quality doesn't dip too much but they tug and pull after only a few uses, around 2 weeks for me. This is a far cry from the "lasts up to 4 months" nonsense the advertising spouts,

Overall, if you're happy to spend a tenner a month on blades this is a no brained, easily the best shaver I've ever used. If ongoing cost is an issue, you'd be better of with a slightly pricier alternate that doesn't have disposable blades.

*edit* as for the battery, I have the cheaper model and I think I've charged it 2 or 3 times since September - and I shave with it 3-4 times a week. The battery life really isn't an issue.

Pretty good item. As most have said it's not razor close but near as dammit and as good as you will find for a shaver. Not great for neat edging burns & beards etc though

got the 2530 model
not as good as a standard razor but the best shave i've had using a shaver
I use shaving oil and its a nice close shave

if you look enough you'll find cheap blades for £7 on ebay
