The fact that those sockets are on a short lead makes it very easy to plug-in larger power adapters. I have a couple of ordinary socket bars and only every second socket can be used because my power adapters/plugs are too wide. Hot from me for that reason.

You could use one of these in every other socket

Any idea how long the cord is?

Can your connect a heater to 1 of the sockets? Cords to each socket look thin, so maybe only 5amp to each socket?

I have got a couple of these and they are 13a to each socket. The wire to each one is the same thickness as the one that goes into the unit. Useful to have for wider plugs.

Maybe, but you can't use 5 appliances rated at 13amps on it!
The TOTAL load is still restricted to 13A

The obvious feature on these would appear to be the Noise filtration, otherwise they are not a lot different to an average surge protector strip to be found in Bargain stores all over the country. As they say ideal for Home Theatre connection - Audio & Video gear has a habit of picking up mains hum, hopefully this is going to help a little.

I bought a couple of these when they were £3 each from somewhere or another. It's fine, but if I'm honest I don't really get much benefit from it over a standard adaptor. It would have been good if each socket had an extendible wire!

Can you not replace the lead with a longer one?

Absolute waste of money, I bought 2 on sale (about £4 each delivered) and if I'd paid anymore I'd have been annoyed. The cable is far too short and the design of this thing is bulky and silly looking!

£5.78 delivered from Amazon third party seller (although I can't see mention of surge protection on this model I've found):

Have just bought three anyway...

I have one of these without the surge protection, it's very useful. Just ordered one of these to use with home theatre kit.
