Awesome bit of kit. Why pay 8/10 quid for basic cuts when this can do the job.

I bought this my son for Christmas not knowing he had bought himself the babyliss one. He says the phillips is far better than the babyliss one for diy haircuts!

I'd agree with that. I've had one of these for 3 years now (paid £20 on Amazon), but had a Babyliss before. Both cutters did the job equally well, but the Philips is much lighter and doesn't need oiling. Only downside is that I always have to remember to charge it before using because it (nor the Babyliss) doesn't hold it's charge very well.

Interesting that this is cold, as I've not seen it cheaper currently. People obviously like paying a kings ransom to have their hair cut.

cold voters can please point me where can this kit be found cheaper? I am really after a new one and would be happy to cancel this order if a cheaper one can be had.

I use this but still find the bottom bit at the back needs some attention and longer settings don't work too well (any tips??).

If you can do as good a job as a trained hairdresser then you could use this to earn some extra money perhaps ? For anyone else, surely better to pay a few quid than look like you've done it yourself.
If anyone can't afford a haircut change their job or stop smoking ?

someone that clearly doesn't get the point of this. It's not to cut extravagent styles, for those that have it cut simple, you can't tell who's cut it

note: i cut mine every couple of weeks, paying someone to do that would be like burning money

If you go to a 'trained hairdresser' and ask for a shave-style haircut, they will use something like this and the result will be identical. The only difference is that they'll charge you a tenner or more for the privilege.

If you want an all over No 1 cut this is great (as stated above, charge before you start 'cos the battery doesn't hold charge). For longer cuts it's pretty rubbish - best just to take the guard off and chuck it away!

The ignoramuses who vote cold in this case haven't got a clue what this site is all about. They simply vote cold because the product doesn't appeal to them. Whether it's a good deal or not doesn't come into it.
