For those who understand you can not use adjustable grade 0 on this clipper (i.e. if you want to leave a slight stubble shorter then grade 1). Only grade 0 or 1, nothing in between - unlike the 'traditional' clippers.

Apart from that they're very good,

I ordered some of these from amazon.. then after reading some of the reviews rated 1-3 stars cancelled my order. According to some of the reviews the cutting blades are quite widely spaced so if you're having grade 0 there's a real chance of cutting loose skin, people have had them break only to be told by phillips that it's not covered under warranty... etc etc.
But would be more likely to buy from argos to try out as then you can just take them back in-store if they break or whatever.... got good reviews from people that like a grade 3 or above though.

Does this mean that you cant do no guard (just the metal blades) as in normal clippers?

Yes you can use the "no attachments - just blade", he was saying that you can't do anything in-between a 0 and 1 grade....
#6
are they easy to use to do a grade 3 on the sides and a 4 on top say?
#7
really good clippers i've used them for a few years without any problems, i paid double the price it is now.

These are very easy to use and I've never had any problems with mine.

All the people who actually have these from the previous post say nothing but good things

i have used these before, very good quality

Cold from me I'm afraid.
Ive seen these sell as low as £9.99 in superdrugs and the usual price for argos is actually £19.99. If you look on the bottom of the page it states:

Additional Information
* Please note item 4426051 has previously been on sale at £19.99.
Current selling price valid until 24/08/2010

use these to shave my bald bonce on grade 0 and have no probs whatsoever!

I used to have a set of these for Number 1 all over. First set I had and are good and rotating part is good.

I found it better to have them plugged into mains whilst using instead of using battery.

Had these for a few years now (bought from Argos for 25 quid-ish). No problems at all and the battery lasts ages. The swivel head was a bit of a novelty at first but i tend to just use it in the same position now.
#15
I use this and this is best clipper I had.
#16
Had mine ages too, infact they're so good I got a spare one last time they were this price (still boxed away somewhere). The battery still seems strong after two years, blades are still really sharp. Using twice a week, I charge mine every 6-8 weeks (I run the battery completely flat so it gets a full charge), fantastic really!
