Voted HOT!! this is an amazing price. I got one and paid £39 for it. Best hairclippers I've ever owned ( I've tried too many to find the one that works best )
Its got 2 attachements so you can go from short hair to next to near nothing ( like the dude on the amazon pics ) Charge up the battery then stand in the shower ( dont get it wet ) and you can cut at all angles by turning the head.

Agreed, got these for a similar price from Argos at Christmas and are well worth the money. You still need someone to tidy up your neck line but these are still so much better than those scary round clippers they advertised on the telly (look up the reviews).
#3
got these and they are very good - cut really cleanly where I've had big heavy supposedly powerful clippers that dont work anywhere near as well as these and I have quite thick hair.

got them from amazon when they were 20 quid but worth lots more and no one else seems to be able to offer them anywhere near amazon's price.

Agreed, don't hesitate to purchase if looking for new clippers. I have saved £hundreds in haircuts in the 2 years I've used these, so well worth £25. Can use the longer comb to get a nicer shorter style hair cut rather than the shaved head look.
#5
Agree with others that these are very good. A bit of practrice and you can get a good clean cut without the help of anybody.

Ok, you guys have sold me this lol.

Wasn't really looking for some new clippers although the mrs has commented that i need some when she's doing my hair.
Not too sure about doing it myself but these have got to be better than my current ones (even if the mrs does it for me).

Damn this site is costing me too much money lol.

I needed some new ones, hope they're as good as you guys are saying!

Got these too, would recommend them, but it is a little tricky to do it yourself, but still better than similar products I have tried - and the battery seems to last a long time too in between charges. Good value IMO too.

These are indeed very good clippers, i got a set at christmas from boots when they were £20.

One bit of advise though is i find they dont go quite short enough, eg 1/2

Got these from Argos last year for £20 and they're great. I cut my hair myself with them (shorter razor guard on setting #4) and it's really easy. I then take the gurard off and my bird does the back of my neck. Would totally recommend them. Only snag is they don't give you any kind of case to put it away in afterwards but that's nothing to worry about I just keep them in the kitchen drawer.

Don't forget to buy some clipper oil from eBay aswell.

change the plastic comb thing to the other one that it came with - that should give you a 1/2

you don't need it mate
< Your Philips QC5170 Hairclipper uses revolutionary self-sharpening stainless steel blades channel and cut hair for a precise and even trim. Also, your QC5170 is hassle free, the blades come with lubrication for life, as Self-sharpening blades need no oiling. >

Thanks for this. I was hoping for a grade 0, but may have to reconsider if they don't go that short.

49.99 in Boots. I bought them on offer last year at around £30 from Boots. Great clippers. Charge lasts for ages

I notice in the 'customers also bought' section they have 'Platinum XL Nose & Ear Hair Trimmer'!

Is this for people with extra large noses???

.. You still need someone to tidy up your neck line ...

Or if your not too fussy, put a beanie type-hat, position it correctly and cut round the neck line. :-D (it works!)

You lot will put me out of business.. (I'm a barber)

I would still oil them regardless. You can use Wahl clipper oil or WD40. They get clogged up with hair otherwise and won't glide through the hair nicely... the best cordless clippers are made by Wahl but they are a touch more expensive than these :whistling:

Got these too, they're great. Make sure you know where the charger is as the last time I used them I did the left hand side of my head and the clippers ran out of batteries before I did the other half - frantically searching for the charger.

spammers, can I ask you a question please; I feel bad about not going to the barbers and using these but my barbers charges the same amount for 5 minutes under these vs a twenty minute trim whereby my barber actually has to cut my hair. Is this standard practice - the only reason I bought these is I didnt think it was uber fair; if I wanted an hour long treatment (i.e. dye or something that takes ages) it would surely cost more so something that takes less time should cost less?

Thanks, Just ordered one, will pick it up tomorrow, I'll use my £10.00 off card, so £14.99 for me..wohoo
#32
I got these when they were £19.99 on Amazon just before Christmas. To be honest I thought they were cheap plastic junk and never felt sharp even when brand new. After about 4 or 5 haircuts they stopped working and are about to be returned for a refund. I previously had some Remington ceramic ones which were way sharper than these.

Cheers,
Chrisall

Had mine come today but goto return them, they come with 2 x 3-11mm guides instead of 1 x 3-11mm one and a 13-21mm one!
