I thought when I bought this at HALF PRICE at £24.99 and free postage it couldn't get any lower and it just has to £23.99

Hot!
Me too, ordered one when it was £24.99 and thought it was a very low price. It is even hotter now.
#2
i've just ordered.. seems like a good deal.. needed a new trimmer
is this waterproof?
#3
Nice I also need a new pair!
#4
I really don't know why, I must be going crazy, but I read that as 'Mains Rechargable HELICOPTER' oO
#5
Thanks, ordered,

I have one of the Remington DIY cutters that packed up and I got a brand new replacement from Remington, but not even opened it yet. This looks better so at least I can sell the Remington one on, thanks

nope not waterproof
#7
Cheers - my old clippers have been giving me grief recently, so these look like a great alternative.
#8
Thanks just ordered. My mains powered clipper set has not been cutting evenly recently , was going to buy this before last xmas when it was £19.99 but you know how it is you make do with your old stuff as long as possible. It will be a real treat to be cordless no more getting tangled up !
#9
tbh just because its head rotates doesn't seem to add much though i have never tried - the hard part is getting even contact for me
anyone tried these?

I think the head rotating makes a big difference. using my left hand with the head rotated makes it a lot easier for me.
When I got mine, I read reviews that said the BaByliss 'thing' wasn't great.
#11
Great find, thank you
#12
I have the same problems trying to get an even cut.

Anyone tried these?

expensive but I'm still curious...
#13
If anyone has a set, does this cut down as low as a standard set of clippers? ie without any guard fitted for a number zero.
I cant tell from the pics if you can take the guard completely off so you just have the blades.
thanks in advance.
#14
Gone for one of these too. last time they were 24.99 I cancelled my order because some reviews said about it not cutting very well or close enough etc.... decided to see for myself now as my current clippers are starting to annoy me now, can always send them back if they aren't up to the job of doing a 0mm cut.

Why so hot? Argos are only a quid more...

great clippers
#17
these look quite bulky in the pics, anyone confirm?
#18
These are great clippers, saved a fortune (and loads of time) on getting a haircut every 3 weeks.

You can take the guard off as well and last ages off a charge.
#19
I got this for £17.99 about 2 years ago! Good trimmer but rechargeable battery power leaves a lot to be desired so needs to be connected to mains
#20
Great quality and has saved me a crapload on haircuts.
#21
got these for under £20 when on offer at argon, do the job nicely!

Yeah, yeah...ok, great clippers, but are you voting on their greatness or whether or not this is a hotdeal...like I say, Argos £24.99 (not a reduction - that's the price).....250 degrees for saving a quid? (times must be hard!)

Argos charge £5.99 for home delivery or you have to pick it up from the shop. The Amazon one is delivered to your door for free.

#25
i picked one of these up a while ago... and to be honest wasnt too impressed.. the rotating head didnt end up as usefull as it seemed, and it didnt hold it's charge that long.. went back to my old clippers after a few shaves

Aah...ok, so 301 degrees of heat to have the postman bring it you (vs collecting it from the nearest Argos for £1 more)....& here was I thinking something became a hot deal becuase you're saving a wad of money .....I guess there's a lot of people who don't want to get out their sofa!!!
#27
I wasn't too impressed with these either and ended up going back to my old travel sized Remington ones. I also found it very hard to cut round my ears with these. Good concept, just didn't work for me.

Not really. If you're at work and you can't get to a Argos store after work then home delivery is much more convenient. Anyway, it's cheaper so why not? HUKD isn't always about making huge savings.

Yes, excellent clippers. But if someone wants to use the clippers for numbers other than zero, yuo might want to re-consider, as the plastic "guards" are not very good, and could break easily.

??? I think you'd be more intereted in 'slightlycheaper'ukdeals.co.uk

Or samepriceaselsewherebutwithfreedeliverydeals.co.uk

this is HOTukdeals. ...I hardly think saving a quid or free delivery warrants 338 degrees of heat.

good point, I'd not considered that & have got a catchy name for a domain...

dealsthatare_erhmm_thesamepriceasargos_butnearestbranchis10-15milesawayDEALS.co.uk

Now I'd expect it to be 348 degrees hot on such a website - I guess folk must be yearning for such a webite to start running - you'll see me on Dragon's Den next.

you're taking this deal very hard.. do you own argos or something, lol
#34
HI, just wanted to ask if anyone knows if its possible to use these clippers for a hairstyle with different hair lengths, or if its only for use with hairstyles with one grade all over?

i.e. can i do my hairstyle of:
0.5 back & sides, with the top & fringe kept longer??

help much appreciated ;)
#35
paddy.stone
you're taking this deal very hard.. do you own argos or something, lol

there's a fundamental point here.....how can a deal get so hot when clearly item is available for a quid more permanently.

Consider two scenarios...

Scenario 1.
A hair trimmer is apparently reduced from £55 to £23.99 - everywhere else the trimmer costs £55 - now I'd agree that £23.99 is a hot deal.

Scenario 2.
A hair trimmer is apparently reduced from £55 to £23.99 - but it's already available at other places for just £24.99 anyway! - now that's not a hot deal.

Ok, so with Argos you have to go & get it (or if you live in the sticks pay a fiver)....but that then comes down to your living circumstances!

Are we all to wonder with the next 'hot' deal ..."Hmm...is this a good price becuase everyone voting it hot doesn't have any shops near them....or is it a good price because it's way cheaper than the next available price?"

Was tempted but it does have some pretty bad reviews, http://www.shavers.co.uk/shopping.php?product_id=663&utm_source=base&utm_medium=directory and it does seemto be around the £29 mark from most places.
#37
i brought it anyway, but from argos lol
its actually sickk (good) imo after using it once

going to use this to trim my sides down in the 6-8weeks between when i visit the barber

thanks anyway OP

Just got mine this morning, only ordered on 30th (bank holiday), now charging them so will use them tomorrow and let you know if they cut very close. In the manual it says that they cut to 0.8mm without attachments.... feel quite sturdy to me, people that have complained about the attachments breaking probably didn't read the manual as usual.. it says to grip at the base of attachments at the rear where they slot into the clippers... so that's what I did and they came out no problem for me and felt very solid with no chance of breaking. Anyway will let you know how I get on, just in case anyone else is interested in these but were put off by the negative comments about breaking etc.

On your recommendation I picked one up from Argos & have just trialled it on my eldest son, not bad, this should have the lasses knocking at our door....
