Ordered this yesterday and meant to post it.....HOT!

I've got one, works well as long as you keep it well charged and unclogged. Oh and keep a careful eye on the length setting, it's not as bad as some make out in the reviews but it is quite easy to accidentally change and end up with a shorter beard than expected.

bought for approx £30.00 from Argos 3 months ago.
good product, i have one - works a treat.

but what with the cutting icy weather, i'm not really using it and i'm just letting my beard grow !!!

Can anyone who has this confirm whether it can be charged worldwide, ie, whether or not the input voltage is 220-240v or 120-240v?

Cheers

i'm thinking of getting this for my partner for christmas to replace his current philips one which has had daily use for a couple of years now.
The views mention that its no good for trimming stubble short - can anyone tell me if this is true? as my partner doesnt have a proper beard, just the designer stubble look but has it really short.
would appreciate anyone's help as being a girl i know nothing about these!!

I didn't think the guard came off? Anyway, it cuts really short - 1mm.

Really good trimmer - best I've ever had. Ordering a spare at this price, but the current one is super reliable and holds it's charge for ages.

I think I've charged it abroad using 120v.

Thanks OP

You cant use these on mains like other makes; you have to make sure it has PLENTY of charge EVERY time you use it. I used to have one and many a time i ended up walking about the house with half a beard, waiting for it to charge up again

moral of the story: if you're forgetful - DO NOT BUY ;-)

what is the warranty on these from phillips, usually its 2 years isn't it?

It does do the short designer stubble, my hubby has used this for a few years and loves it, his vac has broke tho and i wanted to get him a new one - really want the NEW model of this trimmer but its only in the US at the mo (from what i can see) so i may order this as a temp one for him... £15 is a good deal :)

Can really recommend this. I don't like being clean shaven and always used to use the beard trimmers on electric shavers to get my stubble. Problem was that there were spiders legs everywhere. This catches 95% of the hair, but not 100% as advertised, but if mine broke tomorrow I'd definitely buy another. Only downside is you can't use it whilst it's charging. Top product. Use the guard for trimming me bernards too.

just remove the guard and use

I've had two of these so far, it is good and while it doesn't catch all the hair in the vac, it does make clean up a lot easier.

The only problem is, the battery only lasts 1-2 years (at one shave a week for me). My first lasted nearly two years and my current is slowly getting slower after nearly one and a half years. But then at this price you could argue it's cheaper than buying disposables and it's easier to use. Think I'll order a new one now.

Showing as 30 quid now, so im really glad i bought it at the time.
it should be here tomorrow.
