I saw and bought this from my local ASDA (Holt park, Leeds) store. I am sure, its available nationwide in all stores as there were many on the shelf.

It scans as POWER2GO4420 at the till.

Amazon is selling this for £28.98

WITH THIS YOU CAN CHARGE YOUR PORTABLE DEVICES ANYWHERE. YOU ARE NEVER LEFT WITHOUT POWER IN THOSE CRUCIAL MOMENTS ! THIS SMALL MONSTER HAS 30 HOURS OF POWER!

With this compact power pack you never have to run out of power on trains, at airports, at stations or wherever there is no wall outlet available. Don't be left powerless - take charge anytime, anywhere! Work, talk or play for as long as you like.

Charges your mobile phone (Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Sony-Ericsson) IPod, GoGear, PSP, Digital Camera and other portable devices that can be charged via USB.

To give you an idea of its 'power', I have charged my IPod Classic two times and the recharger still has half of its charge for use with any other gadget!

You can see the owners manual & product specifications at:

30 hours of what though? Does it say what the mah is?

Philips site says its 2000mah, which doesnt seem like alot, roughly one rechargeable AA battery, unless im mistaken?

Probably are mistaken: see this.

I bought one of these a while ago. If you want an idea of how much power it holds it charges my Nokia 5800 twice before needing to be recharged or 3-4 charges for a Sandisk MP3 player.

Manual in PDF format here.

Or you could always buy the same item from Amazon marketplace sellers for £25ish as previously stated, or even £40+ !

I suggest a very hot deal from ASDA, especially if they are scanning at just £5.

this is great for your iPhone, charges 2 - 3 times before needing recharging.

I bought it today at 2 PM and paid £10 as mentioned earlier. I wonder if it already has been reduced to £5...?

I bet if I drive out to asda they won't even have these in stock or the staff would have had them. Is there any way to find out which stores has them?

You may go to the ASDA site and get the telephone nos of the stores that are close to you. You can then ask to talk to a customer rep and reserve the item if they have it in the stock. I have tried this before and believe me, it works. http://www.asda.co.uk/corp/storelocator_frameset/storelocator_frameset.htm

Not reallly a bargain. 2000mAh at 5V is about 4 good AA batteries. You can get these USB chargers in many shapes and forms for about the same price or less.
#16
These have been this price for a while at Asda, look out for the 4430 as this comes with a mains adaptor too and is the same price.

Hi Sexsol! You have paid exactly what I paid for at the same store, so do not worry :) Its a bargain at £10. It was never available for £5. It seems some people here, just quote their 'own' prices while writing comments.

There are 2 different ones(not sure of the model no's) the 'other' one is £5.
I don't think the £5 has the digital light bars
#21
None in Chelmsford or South Woodham, Essex.

Anyone has any tips near me please let me know.

Regards

 Both of them have light bars and the mains powered is SCE4430 model. That is more expensive than the one shown here and is certainly not for £5
#26
Is this offer instore only??

My store isn't very good either everything that has been posted on here lately hasn't ever been stocked in my local store
#27
The mains powered one was £10 i am sure and the usb one £5
#28

Do you really need someone to explain that to you?

The mains powered one will come with a plug and you plug it into the wall to charge and the USB one will need to be plugged into a computer to charge but might also work with PS3 or XBOX 360's USB.

Just don't say you are sure if you aren't. If you ARE sure, post the deal for the same product for £5 :-D

I would advise you to check the product specifications for SCE4420 and SCE4430 at Philips website. You may see how exactly these two models differ

Hi Lewie
Thanks for taking the trouble to go to ASDA store and taking a photo of the two products. May I say something? The Philips 4480/05 that is shown for £5 is a totally different product to the one shown on its right side. It is not a rechargeable power pack like SCE 4420 but just an appliance that lets you charge USB gadgets through a mains plug. It does not hold any 'power' in the unit itself but draws it from your home electric line.
I wonder why are you insisting that the two products are similar? Is is just like comparing a DVD player with a DVD recorder. You may watch a dvd through both of those but we all know where the difference lies!

Please be aware that this is only available in asda walmart supercentres not superstores

#39
