£27.47 @ Tesco Direct
Cheaper than the single set. They have plenty of other offers on DECT phones. This is in-store and online.

+1 mine lasted less than a year! Still a good price though

Good price, but it doesn't have a built-in speaker. Can't understand why - that is my 2nd requirement after being cordless.

This a good price, but Philips must be the worst maker of dect phones ever.

Philips cordless DECT phones are expensive, noisy and interference prone when compared with other cheap brands. It's the same for their energy saver light bulbs especially when they were £15 a pop. EVERY one of the possibly dozens used, failed, ranging from fancy to the "bonded sticks" variety, some lasted no more than 2 months with most popping before the year's out. Then there was their large, curvy, 36" widescreen CR-tubed TVs not to mention their 800-smacker humming honey bee soundbases. Philips "domestic & lighting" is a conniving incompetent.

I have been lucky with my first DECT phone (philips). It lasted 5yrs without problems but next 2 have not been very good. cheap deal though.

+2...+3...i ha a Philips, as did my brother...18 months tops out of them...seem to just fail in the LCD then fail to charge up or 'die' when you try to use them! These ones are also £32.50 (half price) in Sainsbury's...still not tempted by it , sorry! :whistling:

Hmm. I bought these a couple of months ago for around the same price. Haven't opened them yet as I'm waiting until I move into a new house, theses opinions are rather concerning.

Bought these for a bit less from Comet 6 months ago or so. They are perfectly adequate and a bargain for the price. Very basic functionality but good call quality

Was just reading some reviews here...not sure how reliable the source is but many people seem to be saying that the volume levels even when maxed aren't great...:?

I agree with the above.
