If you can find one in stock somewhere go for a Morphy Richards Roma, http://www.morphyrichards.co.uk/images/MorphyRichards/products/heros/47505.jpg
15 bar pressure and also does cappucino's. Always gets great review's thats why I got one about a year ago and its in use every day several times, really is a great piece of kit, I was a bit heavy handed with the filter holder and broke the handle, phoned Morphy Richards up and received one free through the post a couple of days later so good customer service from manufacturers too! Nice stainless steel construction and well made. A quick look on google shows it as retailing between £65 & £130 at the minute.

I had one of these coffee makers a couple of years ago, I found it to be fiddly and more importantly, it leaked.
As the cost of the pouches were also pretty expensive and because the machine takes up so much room, I decided to bin it after a couple of months.
#16
how do you find out which cd's are in this promotions? thanks xx
#17
the coffee makers look pretty naff tbh, like the sort of thing you'd get on an airline
#18

Excellent deal, sadly I bought one of these last week from amazon for £30 - bummer.

Oh well, it's a great coffee machine, I've got the re-useable filters too so I can use other coffees.

Lidl also do Coffee pods that fit this machine for £1.30 for a pack of 18.
#20
I have *just* taken delivery of the one I ordered last week! D'oh!

Still... I'm very tempted to buy another couple (along with a cd) as I have some good friends moving house shortly (nice housewarming gift) and I'm sure I can think of someone else who'd like one for xmas... plus I was planning to pick up Now 68 for my daughter anyway...

Oh! And don't forget nectar points peeps! I think amazon is on triple points offer at the mo. Ok, that's me sold... brace yourself my flexible friend :D

I just found out about the nectar points thing, after spending a small fortune on Amazon recently :x

Can you tell me how you put your nectar card number in?
#22
Ferple, the way to earn nectar points on your purchase is to link through to amazon from nectar instead of here. So go to www.nectar.com, and from there click 'collect points' then estores, then amazon. Once at amazon, nectar is tracking how much you spend so you get the points awarded to your account - you do not actually put in your nectar details at amazon. :)

Hi,

I've also noticed that there's Philips Senseo HD7816, that looks the same as this one, except in a different colour. Its selling for £30, but is also 50% off the retail price. I'm guessing it qualifies for this promotion too.

Does anyone know why it costs £5 extra, and what additional features it has?

As far as I can see, it's just the different colour. Silver is very trendy in kitchens at the moment, so I guess that there is more demand for the colour and therefore more margin to be made.
#25
Boonkoh, I was looking at them both last week before I ordered and couldn't see any true discernable difference between them - other than colour. Of course, they have different model numbers, so there must be a difference beyond that, but it's got to be something trifling as the main specifications for both are identical. That said, people are willing to pay a premium for an accessory in their colour of choice so it's possible that truly is the main rub.
#26
For those that bought these for £30 on Amazon in the past 30 days, remember they reimburse you the difference, better than nothing?
#27
Congrats to the OP of this. I swore (mentally - not all shouty or anything, like) that I'd never buy another coffee machine due to the hassle of cleaning and price.

But these seem to sort both qualms. I initially was disappointed to not be able to get the price as low as £41 .. always £50 .. then I realised I was ordering the Gift Wrap .. so readers ... DON'T get the giftwrap ... just enter the Free Gift Wrap code along with the Free CD code to get it right down.

I ordered the Jackie one for the missus (honest) .. 60 tracks of 70s stuff?. You HAD to be there .. to understand. Ahem. Anyway - not a bad deal really ... a £15 CD .. and two reduced coffee makers works out .. if you deducted the CD to be about £13 each really ... now thats worth the risk of a future car boot item ..

AND you can and MUST give the other Senseo to your next door neighbour for looking after your cat all year ... odd.... cos you've never been on holiday! ... :p

Now get Douwe Egbert-swigging and get caffeine-overdosing!

Yes ... I found the easiest route is to go on Google.Co.Uk
Type in
" Philips Free CD Offer"

The relevant Amazon page comes up directly.

You will see a mix of coffee makers and male body groomers and candle-simulators and of course CD album titles.

You can filter twixt CDs and gadgets by clicking on the link words just click on Philips Products and Free CDs ... easy

Choose the two Philips machines you want

Then the album you want ... adding them to your basket.

Get to the final purchase price page and add in the two discount codes and make sure they are added before you commit to Confirm ....

And er.. thats it, viewers. Jeez ... if I can do it... then you most certainly can!

Now go. And give Auntie Norris ... that personal hair remover 'she' always wanted to trim 'her' chest foliage! :santa:

Hehe, Bruce, I've a feeling you've already OD'd on the caffeine... nobody should be that perky so close to christmas; stressed, pulling out your hair (manually, mind, not with a fancy body trimmer even if it IS on offer), and desperate - that's how you should seem!
#30
I went for two sets of the Rechargable LED candles (£19.97 each) and the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss CD, applied the codes and it came to a grand total of £31.00 as it took £17.92 off my order. What I did was went for one Senseo machine and one set of LED candles and the CD, applied the codes, then changed my mind about the coffee machine and changed it to two sets of the LED candles and the price was £31. Not going to argue with that!

Cheers for the heads-up on the codes guys, heat and rep added to those involved!
#31
Anybody looking for cheap pods to use with the Senseo, check your local poundland.
I was sure they had them the other day when I was in, so went back today and managed to find them slap bang in the middle of the Kenco Ground. A pack of 10 pods of Senseo Vienna for a quid...I bought 10 packs (it was all they had left).
#32
check this place out for pods...continental flavours...etc

http://www.digital-e-uk.com/d-e/store/
#33
Cool! I saved myself £14.90 by buying mine in poundland ;-)
#34
I have this coffee machine and I must say its pretty rubbish. However, £25 isn't a bad price but I personally wouldn't recommend them!
#35
I have this coffee machine and its good if you like having half a cup of coffee.
#36
i had a philips coffee maker years ago good if you like lukewarm coffee
#37
Ordered and heat and rep added thanks!
#38

Well, Amanda

'Fact is, I'm a self-confessed, lifelong tea-addict so consequently I'm more used to the much more damaging effects of tannin (and we aint talking sunbeds here, readers) AND caffeine - so the usage of trendy coffee pods have little effect on me (please ignore the spasmodic twitching - its just the fact I'm on night shift - thats all).

I'm still desperate, stressed and pulling my hair out - but my doctor assured me this is all perfectly normal after 27 years of marriage(!).:w00t:

Talking of which - yesterday, I was busily storing away yet another HotUkDeals past `bargain' in the loft - and the missus was up there with me. Filthy, dirty and covered in cobwebs. But she is good with the kids ...

Ok - sorry about that off-topic aside, Forum'thusiasts ... here's summat a bit more relevant, before I'm thrown to the Moderators ....

For further value on this (already) great deal - look at the Led Zeppelin 'Mothership' album - it has two CDs AND a DVD included too. Aye!.

And did an earlier postperson mention that Lidl (annoyingly and deliberately mispronounced 'Leedl' in the TV ads) sell huge quantities of Senseo-friendly pods?. I'll nip up to my local one tomorrow to ask the staff about it. What chances are there then - that I will be met with vacant stares in return. "Senseo Pods?. Is that some kind of new Apple product?, Sir?."

D'oh! :whistling: Just forget it ... just pass the Kenco jar ...

Not quite as cheap but if you want to go in-store, my local Tesco Extra in Goodmayes, has these on for £29.97.
