"Gums are an important part of your oral health; For whiter teeth and healthier gums look no further than the Philips Sonicare HydroClean Toothbrush. This Philips toothbrush uses patented sonic technology along with the specially designed HydroClean brush head. My dentist has a cabinet of domestic dental products that they'll sell you (full price 'natch). They only stocks Sonicares - I suppose they "recommend" whichever makes them most profit.

Possibly, though my dentist doesn't sell them, just recommended lower end rotary Braun and said not to bother with the fancier stuff. This was after I'd bought my wife an expensive sonic!
