Salted water and a toothbrush is cheaper....

I use my sonicare's brush head on my tongue. If it's good enough for your teeth, it's good enough for your tongue.

That is spreading bacteria to your gums....do you wash your hands after using the bathroom ?

I use a Poundland!! tongue scraper before I brush, then a mouthwash after my Sonicare. Not sure if these are worthwhile?

Been looking around at reviews. I HATE AMAZON VINE REVIEWS WITH A PASSION and ignore them and 90% of them are all gushing "I got a freebie" Vine reviews, sigh.

Even Amazon.com has loads of them. Most of the "paying" reviewers seem moderately impressed, rather than the OMG ones the Vine reviewers do.

Boots is probably the best place for impartial reviews of this product http://www.boots.com/en/Philips-TongueCare-HX8071-10for-fresh-breath_1756134/

You could have asked instead of assuming. I brush my tongue after brushing my teeth, rinsing my mouth and washing my brush. And yes, I do wash my hands. Thank you for your concern.

So, let me get this straight, you pointlessly scrub your tongue when regular brushing will take care of dodgy breath (and is utterly pointless, in fact), then after finally getting some useful toothpaste onto your teeth, you then wash it all away with the other pointless product in your routine - negating any benefit of letting the toothpaste go to work on your tooth surfaces. Nice.

Let me get this straight, you post video games and comments on people posting deals on oral hygiene and think people should listen to a guy who seems to spend most of his time playing video games as a bastion of health?!!

Hmmm OK pal. Take a seat on that comfortable, padded seat!

Except mine's based on what someone has exactly outlined. Yours is based on some ill-thought out cliche assumption. Congrats.

Regular brushing on its own does not deal with dodgy breath as your tongue is still covered in a lovely combo of bad breath-causing bacteria.

I us a tongue scraper after cleaning my teeth and my breath stays fresher for 10x longer than if I don't; in fact I know exactly when I've forgotten to use my tongue scraper as my breath stinks very quickly.

A tongue harbours a lot more bacteria....I hope you are placing it in boiling hot water for a few minutes afterwards to sanitize it, washing it under the hot tap is under par.

Bristles can cause microscopic scratches to gums, using a toothbrush for a tongue then teeth is asking for gum disease.

The spray tastes rank but it does work. No way is it worth £16, but this price is a but more palatable.

Wow, someone is really over-reacting! Why would you care so much what I do??

I take quite heavy medication and I do get a coating on my tongue in the mornings (gross but that's me being honest) - so using a tongue scraper is a necessity.

The mouthwash I use is alcohol-free and my dentist doesn't seem at all concerned by my routine. I think I'll trust his judgement over a stranger's on a forum, thanks.

Oh just give it a rest as the smarter you try to sound, the more stupid you actually sound. I suppose you avoid the toothbrush touching your tongue when you're brushing your teeth. I guess you never let your tongue touch your teeth. Also, kind of makes you wonder why they make manual brushes with a tongue cleaner on the back. No but you clearly know more about the effects of bacteria than everyone else.
