are these actually any good? compared with those cheapo ones

i guess it s a cheap price, but its frankly a load of rubbish....

I got several to fix to the undersides of shelved in my pantry, so when you put your hands in it lights up so you can see...

the motion detection worked, but the amount of light was truly woeful, plus if you knock it at all the backplate (stuck to the shelf) detached from the main body holding the light and batteries, which then falls and spills your batteries in the dark... :(

These would be great if they also has a sensor to know if it's dark or light.

If your putting them somewhere that you only go when it's dark (cupboard or understairs) then they are good but if you want to put them somewhere that is dark only sometimes (ie in my ensuite which would save putting on the light and fan at night waking my wife and baby) they will kill batteries very fast. When they make this improvement I will defo buy, until then it's a no from me.
