This is currently £84.95 at Play.com and around the £40-60 at other retailers so at £9 i think it's a great price.

I bought the last 2

Then hardly a deal available to the rest of us.

Sounds like one of the regular PC World "couldn't sell it so let's stick it on the bargain basement rack" store specific specials.

Discussed in depth here http://www.avforums.com/forums/remote-controls/366174-philips-sru9600-any-thoughts.html enough to put me off buying one even if i found one.

Ah, see; now I couldn't come up with a non-sarcastic answer :-D
#7
are you willing to sell one?

Most of their remotes were reduced to clear and weren't in a bargin bin they were still on the remote rack next to the flatscreen tv's and home cinema kits so thought maybe they were getting rid of their old stock to make way for new.

I guess we will find out tommorw when the stores open.

9.5 out of 10 review here

They been reduced to clear for some time. I bought a similar one about 6 weeks ago. Personally, I don't like the touch screen, but nice gimmick for the mates..........oh, and doesn't come close to my Harmony 785!

thanks

Currys have been clearing out quite a bit of Philips branded goods recently. Bought a Philips SRU8015 (29.97) remote and a HTS8140 Soundbar (149.97) recently. Have a phone about as some stores still have stock.

Also this remote reached 400+ degrees recently when posted at 19.99. Now a tenner cheaper and its gone minus!!!

Will be minus due to the availability factor. Moldiver what is the SKU please? This is the 6 digit code on the receipt next to the product name. Hopefully some of us will be able to find these around tomorrow - with a bit of luck!

SKU number is 0000722515.

Funny how people can vote cold when the shops arn't even open to check.

Absolutely crap remote... don't buy! Batteries last 10 minutes, and its just shoddy all over. Bought when it was £20 a month or so ago and forgot to take it back for refund =[
