Imagine waking up easily and naturally, without having to be jolted awake with the noise of an alarm clock. Philips Wake-up Lights are designed to do just that! Philips Wake-up Light is ideal for anyone who finds it difficult to get up in the morning, especially in the dark winter months. Its gradual sunrise eases you awake, gently and naturally, just like a summer's dawn, and just in case, there's a choice of 3 natural sounds and a built in FM radio, that can switch on at the end of the sunrise to gently complete your wake up routine. As an added feature, there's a Sunset mode too, to help you drift off to sleep naturally too. Wake-up feeling fresh and energetic - just as nature intended!

Generally on sale for around £100

Only difference to HF3520 appears to be that you get 2 more sounds with the HF3520, and it changes from red to yellow rather than just various levels of yellow

I appreciate it is a lot of money for an FM Alarm clock, but it is hopefully useful to someone now that Winter is Coming ...

That's a different model - you can get that one for £50 from the same ebay seller

Only 200 lux and no radio on the one you linked, plus it doesn't look as good :)

Would you get a similar effect leaving the curtains open?

Probably not from November-February ... depends if you have a job to get up for or not I guess :)

Yes, but not during the middle of winter. You may get bird sounds if you open the window though :)

My mistake, I don't think I had woken up when I posted ;)

I have an old version of this (lasted me about 9 years I think) They are quality alarm clocks - normally the light is enough to gradually wake me before the audible alarm kicks in. A lot of cash for an alarm clock but mine has proven to be a great purchase
