Anyone actually ever used one of these? I remember when they came out, they seemed a bit gimmicky. God knows I could always use more help getting out of bed in these winter mornings :-)

Reviews are hit and miss but happier dealing with Philips than an ebay outlet.

Hot.

Excellent price, you can't go to far wrong. I got one a few years ago, it's not a bad way to wake up. Still getting out of bed was not any easier. ;-)

Looking at the pictures on the Philips website I would have thought the sunlight streaming through those giant windows behind her would do the same job "naturally"

Great price . Ordered! Ta!

I prefer 'Blinded by the Light'......circa 1977.

These have been this price before on here about a tear ago on clearance from currys........I bought 2 and they are excellent for the money, you can wake up to the light coming on slowly half hour before the actual alarm goes off.You can set the light as bright or dim as you want it.You can wake up to the radio or birds singing and a couple of other things I have never used. Can also be used as a standalone bedside lamp or radio.Well worth the money at this price.

OUT OF STOCK

You try and put the payment through and it declines the order saying out of stock. Shame, great price.

Proabably a good thing its out of stock but because electric hum would drive me crazy if it is only £35

I am guessing that people commenting here about being woken up by this light do not have children?

I've dispensed with an alarm clock - I have a hyperactive 3 year old instead... wonder if I could trade him in for one of these lights instead?!

I have one from avon slowly lights up before alarm goes off but only cost about £10-£15 does the job allows the light to slowly wake you before alarms goes off

This one? Sunrise alarm clock with MP3 connection.
This Philips one seems incredibly over-priced for what it does (and if you check the reviews, you cannot replace the bulb in it when it conks out!) but the negative comments about 'other' products tend to be the light is not bright enough.

how brightly does it light up, and how frequently do you replace the batteries?
